    Worried :-(

Actually I don't know. He came from a dealer at an exotics expo who said he'd had him about 2 weeks. I was so excited that I actually an across a Panther that I didn't think to ask the guy at the time where he came from. The vet thought he was older than the guy told me, too. Isn't it funny how...

    Worried :-(

Not looking good Well, it doesn't look good. Vet said he's most likely been sick a long time. She must have said six times "he's just so thin." He only weighed 27 grams. She gave him sub-q fluids and sent home some Oxbow Critical Care (though it's for herbivores, but I guess getting him to eat...

    Worried :-(

Starting to get worried about my little guy DaVinci (4-6mo old Panther). I've had him 5 days now, and he's only eaten well once (Tuesday, when we were outside and he was catching his own food). He'd been alert though, and I'd been patiently waiting on all the insects I ordered from various...

    My chicks all growed up!

I read somewhere AFTER I got the Polish that they shouldn't be in a mixed flock. I'm not sure whether it's the fact they don't see well with the crest or they're actually stupid, but my girls both act a little "touched in the head." LOL

We don't have any really experienced reptile vets in my town, and I want to have one ready in case I have any serious issues with my little guy, DaVinci. I have found a few in Indianapolis via a google search, but I was wondering if there is anyone here located in that area who has a...

    Pet duck

I am so very sorry for your loss! I have pet chickens, and last spring we had a massacre by raccoons. It was just awful. She was a beautiful little duckie, and I'm sure she'll be awaiting you at the Rainbow Bridge.... :(

    silkworms

Is THAT how to cup feed crickets? Because I don't know if I'm up for that yet. :( I couldn't find any small worms for my baby panther, so I got large superworms and cut them in half. *shudder* It was bad.

WC Roly Polies (Pill bug, Wood louse)

Haha! I'm the resident animal quack in my neighborhood, so I doubt anything I do surprises them! Last fall I fostered a pot bellied pig for a few weeks til he got adopted, and one evening while I was gone he got out of the fence and was apparently running the neighborhood. When I got home, he...
