Why was it obvious that he doesn't know of the other available feeders? His question, to me, seemed like he was just asking if it was okay if he just fed a couple to his chameleon. That doesn't show he doesn't know what else is available for feeders. And do you know for a fact that ants have...
I thought the same thing before I made one for myself. After some experimenting, I find that if you have a thin needle, or a smaller safety pin, you can just tap a hole into the cup using a hammer. Just try to barely poke a hole at all, and don't push the needle - or whatever you use - in all...
I like homemade ones better than the commercially available droppers. A plastic cup with a hole poked in the bottom is really all you need. I also like to poke more than one hole on the bottom to create several drips in different spots. It works out really nice. I feel that you can avoid the...
Why only use the humidifier on and off throughout the day? If it is a cool air humidifier, i think it should be used 24/7. It would maintain humidity levels, as well as keep air moving around in the room, which would help to bring down the room temperature. I also use a cool air humidifier, and...
Have you considered how you will drain the water that will accumulate at the bottom of the cage from all the mistings? If you don't drain it somehow, the water will pool up and mix with poo and other bad stuff, which in the end will only cause problems. If you want some really good ideas use the...
If you are looking to have a steady supply of feeders that you can easily breed, and have many different sizes of them, you should consider starting a roach colony. They are a lot easier to breed and maintain than crickets.
Also, remember variety is important. Maybe your little cham is bored of crickets. I would recommend trying some smaller crickets, and some different food items. All of my chameleons love hornworms and flies.
Lighting/Humidity
I think another good subject to add would be about the questions involving lighting. The importance of having the correct bulbs.
Also, links about how to keep up humidity levels. I have seen several posts in the last few days about this issue...
Lighting?
What kind of lighting are you using for her? From the first picture ( titled "Her Cage" ) it looks like the lighting you are using could be potentially harmful. Do you have a UVA/UVB linear tube bulb? I didn't see one in the picture. But I could be wrong.
