Yesterday I noticed a few FF's in the cage, and today when feeding Marty, it seems like there were more and they were concentrated around the soil on my schefflera. Any tips on how to eradicate them?
I used to have the same problem, and was unable to figure out how the kept getting out. They have an amazing ability to fit through ANY crack. What I did was put tape over every hole and then just poked little holes through the tape with a pin to allow for air flow. This solved the problem.
I got my Panther last Sunday, and on the first day he either ate a cricket or it escaped, and on the second day he ate two, but after that...he at a few crickets I was holding as he tried to bite me. Then today after I got home and found he didn't eat anymore, I offered some superworms(I didn't...
How long typically before they will start eating? He ate two yesterday, but wouldn't eat if i was in sight. He has show interest in the crickets in the cup today, but never shoots for them.
Thanks everyone. He ate two crickets yesterday. However, I keep seeing him chew on the schefflera. I thought that wasn't typicaly of panthers?
also, when he basks, he get REALLY dark, is that typical for babies?
Serenity, you should've his one brother was SOOOO blue and extremely docile. And his other one was starting to show some nice barring aswell.
The cup was cricketless around 7 tonight, so either it somehow escaped or he chowed down. He also went to the bathroom. His urates looked a bit...
So he dangled above the cup, thinking about shooting at the cricket, for about 5 minutes, and he's just been exploring the cage ever since. One peculiar thing i noticed is he bit one of the vines as if he was trying to eat it.
Hello everyone. Got back from the reptile show about an hour ago, where I picked up my first chameleon: an ambanja panther. He's about 3.5 months old. The moment I put him in he started drinking. I put a few crickets in a cup, and he has eyed them up, but not eaten them yet. Supplement wise, I...
Where are you going to get a pure saline solution? I've checked several pharmacies in the past just to have some on hand, and all of the lens cleaners they have aren't pure saline.
Draetish: do you maintain your colony with those foods?
Serenity: Thanks for the thought. I appreciate it.
Also, after dinner, I cut down the ladder and added it, added another rod and a vine I had. I still may out and get another.
I hope so! I feel like I have a decent grasp of gutload, being that I already have a leopard gecko. My only concern in regards to that(because I hate crickets) is with her I feed her mealies and supers(i know for chams, mealworms sparingly), so with dubia, what do people feed to sustain a colony...
I have a ladder to into there. I just have to cut it to size and I'm not sure exactly where I'm going to place it. I also think I'm going to pick up another vine, once I get my car. It's out of commission for the day.
I think I'm going to get either an Ambilobe or Ambanja, I have to speak...
Hello everyone,
So I think I'm finally getting a cham this weekend(3months old). I have the cage set-up, with the basking temperature between 82-83F and the bottom of the cage at 73F. Attatched is a picture. I still have to add in a feeding cup.
I don't have the cage set-up yet, but I was anticipating some sort of issues with drainage from the plant and was wondering what other people have come up with.
