    Probably a dumb question....

lol no not at all i appreciate it! as well as everyone else's responses, very helpful! I think in reading all of the stuff about chameleons I've scared myself into thinking everything must be exactly 100% perfect or the cham will suffer, when it seems like a little variation shouldn't really...

    Probably a dumb question....

But how exactly are you supposed to get a specific number of crickets into your cham's cage? Everywhere I've read says to regulate the number of crickets you're giving, but I've looked around a bit and haven't found anyway that counting out crickets could/should be done. I'm sure there...

    Mossy Leaf Tail Gecko "Pics"

I actually went to the Cleveland show today. Granted I know very little about reptiles but the few chameleons I saw there (3 I believe) didn't look all that impressive, especially after seeing the pics of everyone's on this site I know even less about geckos but I saw a bunch of pretty awesome...

    Am I underfeeding?

So how exactly do you know how much to feed? I've read that you should feed juvenile chams about 10 crickets per day and that once they get older you can start offering some other things like silkworms, dubias, etc. So I would just follow that format, but how are you supposed to really gauge...

Ok great to know, thanks! Ya I live in cleveland, oh and I don't really know of any breeders around the area, and after hearing some horror stories I don't think I wanna go the pet store route. I was checking around online and found Screameleons and it seems like a great site with really...

Any recommend a good book on care?

Thanks for the warm reception! Definitely seems like a unique and welcoming place here. I've got one question on cage cleaning actually. I was reading in another thread about this and I had one question...where do you put the chameleon during this? I noticed some people said on another plant...

Any recommend a good book on care?

Awesome! Thanks so much for all the help guys. If I do end up getting a chameleon I'm almost 100% sure I'd go for a Nosy Be Panther, I just love that blue color. Ya it really seems like this forum is a great place to learn a lot! I've been reading through various posts and some blogs on the...

Any recommend a good book on care?

Hey everyone name's Ryan and I'm in the process of doing some serious research to determine whether or not I can adequately provide and offer a great home for a chameleon, and was wondering if any of you could suggest a few books I could check out. I checked on amazon, but for the most part a...
