So true, like right after 101 dalmations came out, everyone wanted one, without knowing they are a high maitenance dog & not usually good with children.
Doesn't anyone research anything these days? & why not? the world is only as far as our keyboards.
My crickets love the Dino Fuel, no matter what I put in for them they head right over to the Dino Fuel first. not much interest in some greens, an orange wedge, now that's a different story.
shedding
Well, Simone seems to be almost done shedding. her head & front 1/2 of her body & legs. She got real frustrated when it hung over her eyes & was not happy. she angrily rubbed it off on the branch, then looked around for the cricket. Then she tried to go after it & stepped on a piece...
too many kinds?
HA!
it's a good thing there are so many....
or as my Grandpa used to say...
"It's a good thing everyone likes something different, otherwise everyone would have been after your Grandma!":D:D
I have been assuming that Simone was about a year old (one person at the pet store I got her at said they were pretty sure she was the one they sold the guy who bought her in about a year before) I got her in August/Sept & she had been there 3 months.
so I guess she would have been last march...
When you take him out. Be patient & persistent. Simone acts like I am the evil giant at times. She likes it when I stroke her chin, as I gently stroke her "fringe" back she will stretch her neck out. As she stretches I push a finger against her chest & she will step up. Of course some times she...
Every day's a new adventure!
I signed on here a while ago & lurked... :D
I read so much my head was spinning....
Then I decided would see about getting a set up before I even started looking for a tenant for it.
I got treated like an idiot by a local store owner & after almost giving up on...
Where are you located in PA? We recently lost a good reptile store owner here in Rochester, NY & his family is selling off the store stock. They are great to work with & will open for you if you tell them when you can be there, most of the stock os going for at least 50% off.
If you are up at night you will get to see some of the odd sleeping positions they can get into. Gets pretty funny, search for sleeping positions here & you will get a chuckle at the pics.
& we would love to see pics of your little one!!
I took the advice of a couple people here who suggested cuttlebone crushed up fine. I had a vision of me & a mortar & pestle (sp?). but after a trip to the store, I came home with a bag of broken cuttlebone for $1.98 ! they sell loose ones for .99 each. what a deal!
Then I got home & looked in...
How about a guard on the trunk, like the squirrel guards you put for bird feeders (facing the other way of course) like a funnel, so they cannot climb out?
Thanks!
I'm sure I over-compensate for her...:D
I even got a wooden parrot ladder so she can get back to her branches easily.
I figure since she had a rough start, I can make her present & future better. I seem to adopt the used & abused, even if I con't intend to.
Any advice is appreciated.
I guess i wouldn't say she was unsteady, more that she sometimes doesn't know where to put her feet & will step on another leg, then get mad when she can't move the one she is standing on...lol
She reaches a bit with her feet sometimes like she can't find anything to grab.
any suggestions?
