no fair! you can't win the first video contest before we even have the first video contest!! wtf!... lol ;)
seriously, awesome clip, future contest winner FOR SURE if video contest ever does get implemented here :D
i'm gonna go with why would you even want to in the first place?? personally i just don't see any good reason for it.
so they are high in protein, but come on now... do we really need it? you can easily get enough protein and enough variety for a good healthy diet by providing healthy and...
definately no rush, i just brought her home yesterday, and she is a virgin of course at only 9mo. so she should stay receptive for a good couple months at least :)
exactly. you will never stop people from cross breeding, like it or not. it is here, and it isn't going anywhere. that's why IMHO it is more constructive to encourage proper documentation of any morph crosses rather than be so strongly against it altogether. proper documentation may not always...
i just brought home a 50/50 ambilobe/sambava female who is 9 months old and looking receptive. i don't wanna get my own male just yet but i am entertaining the idea of embarking on a first time breeding project w/ her. if anyone in my area has a male panther / also wanting to breed maybe we...
i would also like a backup link on genetic weakening, as i have also read elsewhere (maybe even a different thread here) that some cross bred chams could potentially be healthier. somebody also mentioned about the different locales of vieled being cross bred for a very long time but nobody...
waxworms are pests to bee keepers for a good reason... you need some honey in there :)
i JUST started a waxworm colony, but it appears to be doing pretty well. my food is just equal parts of the baby rice cereal and some dry gutload, mixed with honey and a couple drops of hot water till...
thanks for the comments :)
well i don't have any males or even alot of extra space right now... if i found someone local to share a clutch i could breed her with a pure ambilobe to make 75/25 babies, i am pretty open to some different crosses with her also...
more likely i will keep...
you know i just brought her home and i am not sure, she is just starting a shed but more likely it is oversupplementing from the pet place : / she has clean crickets for now gutloading on collards and orange cube
just got myself a panther morph female, super excited about raising / maybe breeding her eventually :)
she is a 50/50 ambilobe/sambava mix and that's all i know about genetics. check her out, 9 months old.
i have supers, mealworms and waxworms. i read the supers gutload really well, they have more protein than crickets but they are kind of high in fat. silkworms are a good staple feeder but i read that the pheonix worms also are pretty high in fat and also calcium.. they should mostly be used...
if you find one im sure there's alot of us who would be interested :) i started breeding worms specifically because crickets are too much of a PITA to keep in mass like that.
flukers orange cube, collard greens, apples
my worms get a bedding made of ground whole wheat cereal, dry gutload, baby rice cereal, wheat germ, and spirulina flakes w/ apples
