Hey everyone! So I just wanted to know why my crickets are dying constantly and how to keep them alive and in bulk for longer. I bought 100 recently and probably ended up using only 50-60. The rest died. I keep them in a large plastic bin with food and hydration and a screen top so plenty of...
Atlas finished shedding about 2 days ago, recently he hasn't shown as much as an interest in food, and he now climbs upside down on the roof of the cage under the Uvb, just wanted to know if this is normal. He ate more today which is a good sign.
So after a week of having my first Chameleon, Atlas has me thinking he should have been named Luna because I'm a tad clueless.
Very happy to say that he's an extremely healthy Cham so far, eats great and gets perfect hydration.
Also I want to thank everyone who helped me the past week on...
10-15 is a good amount with the meal worms included. I wake up at 9:00 and turn on Atlas' lights, then around 10:00 feed him around 8-10 crickets which he will eat and go bask after for. Around 1-2 I'll give him some super worms (around 3-4). Once its 5 I feed him again, around another 5-8...
Takes time for them to get used to misters. Mine still isn't quite used to it considering I got him from a pet store which I don't possibly think they used one. Definetly need more foliage which is good you know you do. How much is he eating per day? And when do you feed him?
Just a question nothing serious.
Seeing the ribs on Atlas a bit, I'm guessing he is underweight because he didn't eat much before I got him. Now he eats around 15-20 crickets a day with 3-5 super worms and kale frequently. Is this enough? Or should I feed him more?
Agreed, but he's kind of a grumpy Cham, I know they're territorial, so I'm just going to leave him. just worried about when I have to handle him he will bite my finger.
Yeah for some reason I guess they weren't as standing out or maybe that's the first good view I got of them! Glad it's a boy I was worried about it being a female.
