    Calcium with D3

Panthers and veileds need plain calcium daily, calcium with d3 twice a month and a multivitamin twice a month. All ages. However as they get older they will slow down their eating, often to every second day. This schedule can change depending on whether they get outside time and how well you...

    Tounge Problems -Vitamin deficiency

You say it is colder where you live so I'm thinking that he does not get outside just nowr. You could increase your calcium with d3 to twice a month and your multivitamin twice a month. Your temps are a bit high. I would have it 30c. You viv is a bit small for an adult. 4" high is a good hight...

Vailed Cham has eye problem?!?! Plz help

Could be many things. Retained she'd is common. Extra misting could help. Also he could have something in it. With extra prolonged misting it would give him an opportunity to wash his eyes. Failing that normal saline eye drops bought on contact lens counter might help.:)

    Veiled Chameleon changing sleep patterns

Are there any lights,tv where he is located?. Do you have a night light? Chams generally sleep better with total darkness and a temp drop of at least 10f. Mine often sleeps in strange positions so as long as it looks safe it's ok. It also depends where you are located. I'm in n/e Scotland and...

    Supplement Question!

    Have you tried on line?

    Supplement Question!

Twice a month for both. I would say that plain calcium powder is preferable to a spray. With a spray you cannot really measure how much you are giving and it should be a very light covering.:)

Chuck (a young veiled) is not doing so well...

He defiantly only needs d3 twice a month. They are very sensitive to it and can develope toxicity very quickly. Which brand are you using? I have to say that the supplement schedule is dependant on the brand you are using, also whether he goes outside. The brown colour you are seeing may be...

Chuck (a young veiled) is not doing so well...

It looks like he is in a mesh laundry basket with one plant and no uv. I have given you a link for a form to fill in. It would be useful to see if there is anything we can pinpoint to help your boy. He should be eating loads of crickets at his age...

    opinions on waxworms

As said " they are like candy" . Chams can go on hunger strike for them. There are lots more nutritious feeders out there without waxworms. I know it's handy to get them from pet shop but you might like to grow a colony of roaches.:D

Chuck (a young veiled) is not doing so well...

Hi there welcome to the forum. You have a tiny boy there. In UK I would be giving him small crickets not medium. I know sizing can be different. No bigger than the area between the eyes. I would try putting his food in a larger container than a shot glass. I would also try free ranging a few...

    Vet visits

I think faecals yearly is a good idea but probably wouldn't do it if I didn't think there was a reason to do it. Mine has never had an X-ray. I was shocked two years ago to find that our reptile vet had moved and there was not one locally. Personally I find it devastating to see an animal ill...

Seems it wants to eat but couldn't

I have pm you. And yes a vets visit would be a good idea. Don't use a humidifier so don't know if it's a good idea. Perhaps someone else can advise.

    Vet visits

Hi welcome to the forum. To answer your question personally I think it irresponsible to own a pet and not be prepared to take it to a vet if ill. I'm in the UK and I take my dog to the vet yearly for his booster injections and yearly check. He is also treated for worms every three months. I...

Seems it wants to eat but couldn't

Hi KC. Just got in from work. Here is a link for how to care for a panther. https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/chameleons/ If he is pooping he must be eating some. Continue to get him to drink. I put mine on a plant in the sink and spray it heavily with warm water. It sometimes takes...

    Ugh. Last minute cage setup...

Nice.:):) I think it better to be armed with as much knowledge as possible and then make up your own mind. You appear to have done your research but it's good that you are still asking questions. This forum has members from all over the world with lots of experience. Keep posting::)

    Ugh. Last minute cage setup...

Yes it is a long term thing . Just pointing out that different enclosures suit different situations. I use wood with glass doors and a screen top as I'm of the opinion that the temp and humidity in the N/E Scotland is not conducive to using all screen. I have kept babies in glass exoterra vivs...

how many crickets a day should she be getting?

She is a baby and has lots of growing to do. Give her as many as she will eat several times a day. Try and find some other appropriately sized pray as variety is good. When she is older you will have to cut her food down to minimise large clutches of eggs but it's too early just now.:)

Is My Chameleon Old? Loosing Weight?

No hornworms in UK. Phoenix worms are the same as calciworms.:) Butterworms are good but my boy won't touch them.
