I try and mix up my feeding techniques throughout the week.
I love to show off his feeding to my friends and his tongue is LONG...a great conversation peice that always gets ooooh's and awwwww's.
He will get finiky at times, so I free range a few crickets and he loves to plan his attack...
I guess I am lucky.
I built a custom 53" tall screen enclosure in our living room with a 3/16" hardware cloth bottom (just small enough so crickets can't crawl through.
I have a 3 feet tall ivy plan inside that takes up most of the room (and catches most of the mist) except for 2...
Heck...
My wife still screams at the sight of a roach or spider crawling across the floor and I can't imagine a box-o-crickets everywhere.
I keep my feeders in my small office and transport them to my chams enclosure in a small rubbermaid container.
Most every time I dump in 1/2 dozen...
I live in Tampa and my male Ambanja is headed dwen into the darkness of his enclosure by 6:00 PM nightly.
By 6:30 he is snoring!
I was hoping he would get used to our HOME HOURS rather than the hours of his previous location, but so far, he hasn't.
Maybe he'll become a night owl like me...
Thanks Carol for your comments...especially since you too are a Floridian.
We keep our house pretty cool with the AC running and I have had to compensate with 2 heat bulbs to maintain the upper level basking temperatures. As you know, running the AC lowers the humidity, and the Mistking...
My now 9 month old Ambanja male is up early each morning basking and I have a routine where I hand mist the leaves close to him to induce drinking ~ 9:30 AM. He does this regularly without fail. He will drink from the leaves for a short period, often letting me spray the water into his mouth...
You are on a business Conference Call from your office at home and you have to explain the crickets chirping in the background while you are on speaker phone.

I would think, based onother lizard species, that the tail will probably grow back.
Our little yapper dogs loce to catch the wild annoles in our yard here in FL, and now, we have a yard full of short tailed lizards. The tails all grow back soon.

Thanks for all the good advice.
I know that I am NOT ready to go down the road of breeding Panthers myself. Rango is enough to take care of right now.
As I mentioned, this is a very reputable store and I MIGHT consider a couple of offspring, once they got up to a couple months old and...
I was in my exotic reptile store today purchasing a mister for my outside enclosure and was approached by one of the sales folks.
He had remembered me purchasing our Male Ambanja there several weeks ago.
Apparently, the owner is interested in breeding my Male with one of their large...
OK...
I am getting confused between my sub adult Ambanja and the 3rd photo on your post.
My "ambanja" looks exactly like your pic. He is ~ 8 months old, according to the place I purchased him.
Can someone explain to me the differences between the Ambilobe and the Ambanja?
Gary...
OK...those pics TELL THE STORY.
It is sperm, and I have just found a new "pair" of sacs like one of the photos depicts on the back screen panel.
Does ZooMed sell an inflatable female Chameleon? LOL
Seriously, this Forum is the BEST!

You folks are already making me feel better...
If this IS sperm, does this equate with the slight swelling (almost like a enlongated bulge) where the tail joins the body, close to the vent?
This is not alway noticeable, which leads me to think that sperm is produced "occasionally" ...
