Question about misting - getting water everywhere

Follow up question - is there such a thing as a dripper that suctions or can be held up inside of the tank somehow as opposed to sitting on top?

Question about misting - getting water everywhere

How do you not get water all over your house when misting if it's an all screen enclosure? I haven't set anything up yet, looking at what to buy as I plan on getting a carpet cham. so I'm researching terrariums online, and it just made me think, with all screen, when I spray, mist, etc. will I...

Where to get a Carpet Cham?

After much back and fourth between carpet and panther I've decided on a male carpet. I like the appeal of the smaller size (and in turn smaller housing), and I love the way they look. Problem is, I'm finding carpets aren't easy to come by. Any suggestions on where I might find a male...

    Carpet or Panther?

Thanks for the advice, I'm still really torn but the more and more I think things through I'm leaning towards a male carpet, I love the idea of their smaller size, and a smaller cage. Plus I think their look is so unique. I think I'd go male simply to avoid having to deal with eggs, I'm not...

    Terranium for cold climates?

Thanks, I'll check them out. Am in WI Do you have to adjust what you do for your chams based on the seasons as far as bulbs, humidity level, etc? Or just try to maintain consistent patterns year round?

    Terranium for cold climates?

I live in an area where it gets quite cold and dry in the wintertime. Is there such a thing as a terrarium that has 3 glass sides, with a screen front and screen top? I'm wondering if something like this might help with humidity, while still providing the needed air flow? Just wondering what...

    Panther questions...beginner kits, age, etc.

Thanks I'll take a look, I might skip the misting system for now and hand mist 2x a day with a dripper. Do most people mix live and fake plants, or do one or the other? How do I know which bulbs to use, 5.0 or 10.0? same with what wattage bulb, how do I know which I need?

    Panther questions...beginner kits, age, etc.

Thanks, If I can get away with just buying the larger 2x2x4 cage to start I'd prefer to, just to avoid extra costs, but if it's best for him to start off with a smaller cage I will do that, I'm running to the store today to see what they have for juvenile's, so i'll have a better idea of...

    Spray bottle versus mist system?

Thanks for your replies. When someone says mist for 5 minutes 2x a day, does that mean I just continually spray around the enclosure for about 5 minutes? About how much water do you use during that 5 minutes? A misting bottle's worth, 2 bottles full? I'm not finding answers on this... I'll...

    Spray bottle versus mist system?

One more question I had, figured I'd add it here as opposed to starting a new thread... Planning on a 18x18x36 cage to start, as we'll be getting a juvenile. How long will that cage last us until we need to upgrade to the 24x24x48?

    Spray bottle versus mist system?

I am getting all of my set up done before even purchasing a cham. We are getting a panther. My question is, will hand-misting 2x a day be sufficient? Because of scheduling that's probably all we can do, or am I better off purchasing a timed misting system? If I get a timed system, do I...

    Panther questions...beginner kits, age, etc.

After I posted this I did find some answers on the care sheet for Panthers offered on this site :) I found my answer as to at what ages they're considered juveniles versus adult. I am still wondering about cage size, and kits, though

    Panther questions...beginner kits, age, etc.

I think we've decided on a Panther, not 100% yet, but with some advice received here and some more searching online I'm leaning towards a panther. I want to get setup taken care of before we bring one home. First, are the kits sold sufficient for someone, like us, just starting out? Are...

    Carpet or Panther?

We will be new chameleon owners (I'm defiantly doing time to research and prepare before bringing one home). I'm trying to weigh the pros/cons of getting either a carpet chameleon, or a panther, I don't know which one to get. I'm aware of handling restrictions with chameleons, but I'd like to...
