Well during the winter my room is about as cold as it would be with an A/C.. Ya I relize 50 is cold.. I would have to say that its atleast like 58-70s. I can't test it because we don't have another A/C for me now..my sister gets it.
Im going to see if I can get my parents to buy a bigger A/C...
I order way more than you. 1000 at a time. I have a clear bin and the lid is cut out and replaced with screen. I use cardboard egg cartons so they all can spread out evenly.
Ya they will die. Some people I heard don't order full sized ones because they will die off in a matter of weeks. I...
Every summer I have an air conditioner in my room and it gets nice and cold when I sleep. I have to say its around the 50s(something like that) and I love it that way. My only problem is..I have reptiles. Charlie and Fred are in my room so I don't know if I can run one this year or the next few...
My normal schedule is calcium with no D3 everyday of the week and I skip Saturday and on Sunday I either give vitamins or Calcium with D3.
But I don't heavy dust and I haven't been dusting. Only Sunday.
I will try calcium w/o D3 on Mondays, wensdays, and fridays. Saturday nothing and...
You need more coverage and highway branches. The center of the cage is empty..what if she falls? She will have less chance of catching herself.
Where is the dripping tube? Sometimes my veiled will actually drink from the tube instead of waiting for the drops and on the leaves.
Im not an expert...
Weeks ago..I don't even know how long ago..but Charlie keeps having white crust around his nose.
People say its over supplementing and/or salt that veileds naturally do.
I tested the over supplementing fact..I took him off all the supplements besides the weekend vitamins or C w/D3. But thats...
If you don't mind..I posted pics of Charlie below.
Around 3-4-5
Around 5-6
This is him now, 7-8months
Maybe that helps? My age is also a guess but its quite close by what people tell me. But then I relize yours is a female. Charlie is a male..so that might affect size too?
I agree with Brad. I bleached mine when I first got a cham but then the next time I asked about it...found out it was a waste of time... All you have to do is scrub them down with water and let them dry. No need to waste time
I personally think she should take her "free" or for a little money. With a first chameleon you will gain experience and learn that females are hard. I would rather see this cham be put in her hands then stay at the store..being watched...and die from her eggs and stress. She has us to help her...
Oh ya lol..my thumb was near his face so it was numb when I put him down..I didn't move it! Any movement in my fingers caused his eyes to follow and about hiss/snap.
I was looking at the date on the picture I took of Charlie when I first got him. It has been 5months and 6days in my care. So if he was 2.5-3months old then...that probably means he is 7-8months now?? Any age guess
So I got bored and decided to take pictures of Charlie and Fred.
Charlie has a tight grip! He still hates my fingers! I showed him the back of my fist and he doesn't hiss or snap at it. (learned from someone)
I let him down on the platform below his cage and he took off up the side to...
that is how they clean their eyes..prefectly normal. If it looks worse tomorrow or no better I'd still go to the experience vet. or some may say..still go
Sounds like its going to heal, good luck
