I live in Indiana area of Fort Wayne out in the country. Its spring and its been warming up. The window is on the back side of my house and I can find the directions later. That window gets most of the bright sun in the morning then it moves around the house so it wont be so intense through out...
I say its now stress. My cham gets lines of black, yellow, brown, bright lime green, and even white when stressed.
So you mean his whole body isn't "black"? Just he is very dark up there? Then I say its something stressing him. You changed anything lately?
I moved my veiled infront of my window and someone mentioned that its more of a risk of fungal and respiratory infection.
I was wondering how this is so.
If I have thick black curtains would that change the risk?
Whats the odds of the risk?
Will I be ok leaving Charlie there infront of...
Your not dumb:p
My chameleon at that age and never was black. He got lines of black from stress at points. He is now 6months :p
Um sure hope its nothing serious
Them being black is bad. He is either cold or very stressed. Hanging on the top of the cage under a light indicates that he is cold.. Until people see pictures they could probably help more
Afriad your going to have to change it again.
You need more highways going from one side to the next..make sure they are tightly fit. Also you need more closer to the top and more filled plants(like another hanging potho).. Be careful not to get to close to the lamps.
Good luck
