Separating them from the chow is almost impossible. I need to transfer them to a new pot with fresh food but this is going to take me hours. Anyone know a quick way?
My colony arrived today. They've got some serious growing to do!
There are 500 there and they now need rehousing - looks like I am in for a long tedious evening
My panther takes a dump on me almost every time he comes out. I'm not sure whether he saves it or whether it's nerves or something.
Makes keeping his cage clean much easier anyway - only downside is that a paper towel always needs to be on hand when he first comes out!
I have a colony of 500 on the way. I am pretty sure this is going to be far too many. If I can rear them to a decent size I'd be happy to send you some up.
Edit - by the way, when did he last eat?
My vivs are about 40-45% when dry. When misting they reach about 70%.
If you are struggling to maintain humidity despite regular mistings you could try putting some plastic sheets/shower curtains on the sides to hold the moisture for longer. Never tried this myself but many people recommend it.
I have 2 chams and I am currently pricing up a 3rd viv & cham as we speak. I know I shouldnt because of space (or lack of) and its a pain when I want to go away - but they are just so amazing I want more and more.
My ambilobe shows more colour each time he sheds. From 3-6months they shed about every 4weeks (if my memory serves me correct). It tends to slow down the older they get. But dont worry, you'll soon start seeing those colours. It happens really fast as well.
Come on then.... Lets see your Ambanja's and Ankify's.
I think this is going to be my next Cham addition and I need a push or it just wont happen.
Lets see them guys...
:D:cool:
My panther tends to take a dump almost every time he is handled!
Not sure if it's his way of showing affection or whether its nerves. Or he may even prefer to keep his viv clean!
