Hi all,
I have just brought my panther Cham back from the vets and he needs to take some medication orally.
The only issue is that I cannot get his mouth open.
He is impossible to annoy as he is so placid and friendly (neither do I want to stress him unnecessarily).
I have tried to apply...
Another observation is that he goes very lightly coloured. His usual colours are a vibrant green with bright blue bars.... He seems to generate lots of yellow and his green/blues go very light coloured.

Just returned home and he was still in the exact same place. Just taken him out and given him a nice cool shower which has "brought him back to life".
I will be keeping a close eye on him and may take him to the vet for a check-up on Monday if he gets worse or begins to daydream again.

It's usually his sleep spot where he does it. However today he has done it in his basking spot.
I haven't noticed any other weird behaviour at all. When he snaps out of his trance he seems normal.
It's a strange one. There doesn't seem to be any pattern either.
Thanks for the input so far.
It would seem it has no connection to food at all. I tried offering a silkworm to him earlier to see of this would grab his attention but it didn't.
When he goes into his trance there is never any food on the loose.
He has food available everyday. If not then he is fed every other day.
My male panther has been acting a little strange over the past few weeks. Most days he is completely normal, eating, drinking and climbs out of his cage for some interaction etc...
We have noticed that approximately one day per week he will sit in the same spot all day and be completely...
Hi guys,
I'm concerned about my veiled Cham, he appears to have burnt himself mildly.
He has been basking in a weird position lately and I suspect this is how it's happened. I have now changed his setup to prevent this happening again.
Anyway, there is a row of 5 or 6 spines on his back which...
Hi folks.
I separated 7 jumbo silks and the first one has spun. The idea is to get some eggs to retain in the fridge and grow on when my current stock level is low.
I have a few questions for the more experienced keepers....
1) When they hatch from their silk-balls and begin to mate, what do...
I am unsure on which product to buy. I understand they have slightly different contents.
Can anyone shed some light onto the difference in results between the two products?
Thanks
Thanks Tiff. The weather is beautiful, same again for tomorrow I believe :) Makes a change from the usual rain we get here in Manchester. I just hope we get a real summer this year. We live in an apartment (no garden) so its hard to get the chams out when the weather is nice. But we do our best...
Thanks Jann.
Sometimes he can be quite sweet. Other times he is a grump, it really does vary on the side of bed he gets out of. For a Veiled I dont think he is that bad, I've seen some really nasty ones.
He does come out for a free-range and enjoys it until you try and touch him! His...
