Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that his male bits in there? mine has the same and it's always there. You can see it moving when he is having a dump! Lol
Yeah he drinks well. I wouldn't say there are any health issues just the fact he is always dark green. He comes out and doesn't seem stressed etc. I just thought that if he is eating them it must be better than the 2 or 3 crix or other insect he normally eats a week. He really doesn't eat a lot...
Ok so most have probably seen the problems I have had with trove and his new cage. He is getting better but still a dark green. He will brighten up now and then though.
My problem is his eating. He is offered crix, roaches (2 types), locusts, Mario and wax worms (treat)
He really isn't...
Ok so we had a batch of silkworms a while ago and I ran out for food. They were about 2" long and the main of them turned into cacoons. We have about 30 of them. About 4 days ago they started to hatch and then started mating. We have probably 5 mating pairs and some have already laid.
My...
I went to the electrical wholesalers here in the uk and changed out my halogen spots for a halogen flood as the angle is much wider therefore the heat is spread rather than concentrated.

Just a possibility...
Ok so I know this is about food but it's a general question really. In the uk the chow to feed them is pricy but I seen on amazon that you can get dried malberry leaves. Would soaking the leaves rehydrate them to be suitable to feed? A 1kg bag of leaves is a much larger amount for the same price...
I have a mistking with 2 nozzles but I have sides and back covers with the nozzles pointing to the front. The spray does do through the mesh if it's pointing straight at it but mine are angled down slightly. The amount you spray shouldn't be a problem really as mine are on for 2 mins throughout...
So i was just doing a bit of trimming and sorting/cleaning in Trevor's cage. And after he was out for a while on his free range play area I changes the basking light to a higher watt. After putting him back in he went to it as he must have been slightly cold.
Why would only the area under...
i know you have told me to stop worrying and im possibly overlooking things too much but i have been keeping a close eye on him. he will spend somewhat and hour or more at a time on the basking spot, move for a bit then back on for a similar time.
is 69-71 too cold for the ambient? i have no...
I will see what his weight is as I have never put him on the scales so ill do it tonight and again in a few weeks. The free range idea is what I want to do but the misses won't have it lol.
You say your adults eat 2-4 adult dubia's but if and when he eats he isn't eating anywhere near the...
So just an update on Trevor guys and there is still no change to his colour. He still isn't eating a lot either, 2-3 insects every 2-3 days which are either silkworms at 1.5-2" and large crixs. I'm going to get him to the vets I think. If it was parasites or something else could this cause the...
Just red back over it and you are not listening to what's being said. Forget everything at the moment and get the uvb then come back on here once you have it and well assist you with the next steps
No mate you need uvb it's the only way he will stay alive. Forget the red light and throw it way now to lose all confusions on it!!! Then go to the shops an get a 5.0 or 10.0 uvb tub and stater unit for it
We can't see the bulb you have so a pic would be good as it could be a coil type bulb which are not good for uvb that's why they have the red heat bulb.
You need a uvb tube and a normal household buld or halogen for a basking spot. You said you have changed the basking bulb so I imagine it's...
Have you got a uvb for him? In those vivs you shouldn't be having any problems with humidity. Full out the form with in depth detail about the cage and people will be able to help more
I was talking to a breeder and he said if any reptile gets a cut, burn, etc to use manuka honey. Get the pure gold type that's natural. It costs a fair amount here in the uk but is the quickest thing for healing such things. Plus you can eat the left overs
