It's been killer hot outside lately and been getting dryer with the heat and such, and its supposed to be super hot like that for the next few weeks. so i was worried about it affecting the eggs in anyway

ohhhh nooo nooo! i mean general temp here outside, my viv temp usual for the pigs is a constant 72-75 but i mean obviously lately since the summers here my viv has been around 78-80 very max day time, with a slight temp drop at night. which the parents are comfortable in with their 2 daily...

I just wasn't sure at all, because i was monitoring her for digging when she was pudgy to incubate the eggs but nothing. Obviously she laid them at night or something, but i wasn't too sure how long i should wait or if i should disturb the substrate at all because the substrate isn't that moist...

So over the past two almost three days i have had three baby bearded pygmies hatchlings appearing in my viv. I have obviously separated them into their own tank. My dad found one this morning while i was at work and put the little munchkin in with his siblings. I have yet to find anymore today...

oh i know! haha ive been smiling like an idiot all day haha. i couldnt believe my eyes this morning, and i was just dying to come home from work all day. Luckily i had a short day today which was good, he is just darling! I really hope some more babies appear in the next few days :D

So we picked up the fruit flies for the new pygmy but there is a problem. Is there any way to contain them from running out of the cup or am i supposed to let them just free rang with the baby? Need help please :D

I have another question as well. How do i manage to keep flightless fruit flies in a feeding cup without them crawling out?
