    I Mourn For My Babies

Been a long, long time since I posted anything on these forums as just been too busy and Covid has taken it's toll on us all. Unfortunately since my last post (whenever it was) I have lost three of my wee green babies. Frodo - We just don't know what happened to him as one day he was just fine...

    Safe water

Hi Long time no post (I'll go over the details in another post) but I use Deionised Water for my green buddies. Big 25ltr "bottles" tied into my mister system. I have never managed to get Distilled Water here in the UK unless it has been in bulk (500ltrs +) and my housing floor wouldn't take...

    Worms Again

That was an interesting read Amanda. I'm in the UK but assuming what you said goes over here as well. I suppose I really should have got Goldfish.

What’s the most annoying (and obviously wrong) question about chameleons that someone has asked you?

"Why is he green? I thought they changed colours all the time". Does my head in that one.

    Worms Again

TBH Dave I have no idea and never thought to ask. I just know they were parasitical in nature and were dealt with by my vet. Whilst we are on the subject and going back to what Starter said about "Do It Yourself" worming I wonder if there is a supplement or similar that can be added to misting...

    Worms Again

Thanks for the input Amanda. I know vet bills can be mental but our pets don't ask to come into our homes and I would move heaven and earth to help out my boys and the rest of my gang.

    Worms Again

Hi Starter I see your point. And like yourself I would be interested to see what others have to say.

    Frodo

The offspring of Godzilla continues to thrive The wee guy ain't so "wee" anymore and is rapidly needing a new vivarium which I have but just out of hospital after having a plate screwed onto my collar bone (broke it during Karate training) so his bigger home is on hold at the mo. Once again I...

    Worms Again

Hi Starter. Not to my knowledge with regards to a "Home Wormer". When the vet has administered the required medication the dosage had to be calculated as to my boys weight so that's not something I would personally tackle myself.

    Worms Again

Hi Starter! I didn't know anything about reptile worming until I took Ziggy to the vet for a check up (there was just something not right with him and I wanted it sorted - transpired he was bunged up). A sample was produced and it had some worm eggs in it and I was totally shocked as I am so...

    Worms Again

Once again I am off to the vet tonight to get Ziggy his first shot of anti-worm goo as his last sample cam back positive for eggs. Last time it was the wee guy Frodo that had a worm but thankfully this time he's totally clear which is great as he used to get mega-stressed when I had to give him...

    Frodo

I have a sneaky suspicion that he is actually Godzilla in disguise as he should be that size with the amount the wee guy puts away.(y)

    Frodo

He's growing fast as is my older boy Ziggy. I love the both of them to bits but I still have a wee cry now and again over my wee baby Fiona (my first Veiled Chameleon - she had an op to be spayed and free her from 47 eggs but her wee body just couldn't handle the op). Frodo will eat anything...

    Veiled Chameleon not eating

I have the same problem at the mo with Ziggy my year old male Veiled Chameleon. Think he's just fed up with locusts and he won't even look at crickets so I have ordered up some cockroaches to see what he thinks of them. He's off mealworms but can't get enough of wax worms but I limit them to a...

    Frodo

Howdy all. I have a new member of the family to introduce to you so please raise your glasses to my wee boy Frodo (9 wks old Veiled Chameleon). He is so tiny compared to my big fella Ziggy and I have made the mistake of trying to handle him (my damn inexperience again) from day one so I...
