very interesting! seeing these temps i'm wondering if they really hybernate in winter in the wild! I used to think so, but now I'm not sure anymore! maybe it depends on the different local area temps! 0.o
Anyway, next time put celsius degrees too! ;) make it easier for europeans! ;)
mine vibrated like a mobile phone when I was holding him to give him his worm medication. as far as i know it doesn't have anything to do with sex, it's a stress reaction! basically telling you to leave him alone!:)
I've been also told that even closing his eyes it's a stress reaction, it's...
this was the subject of my final year dissertation and from the survey results (remember https://www.chameleonforums.com/attention-please-questionnaire-reptile-keepers-72017/ ?) the majority of people wouldn't pay more for ethically sourced WC animals.
People didn't even bother thinking about...
what temps you have in the cage?
mine stays under the lamp all day when room temps are below 19° celsius ( i dunno how much is in Farenheit, sorry! :P)
Your comments are all very inspiring, I want to try to establish a captive population of one of my favourite chamaeleo species now!
(probably I should move to a warmer country first :P )
i don't think there are any cb in europe! you should check out the next reptile expo in Hamm, Germany, if anybody in Europe breeds them or imports them that's the place where you could find em..good luck!
oh wait I found this user https://www.chameleonforums.com/members/happy14/ he's german and...
but there's something i don't understand : if they are a relatively easy species (and I believe they are cause they can adapt to different habitats and are even found near human settlements and plantations in africa )why isn't anybody breeding them?
