My veiled is ok with being handled but each time I put him back in his cage after being handled he looks really unhappy and tries to escape, he also went on hunger strike a few times because of this. if I don't take him out of the cage is perfectly happy, he's got a huge cage, lots of food, live...

somebody here in italy told me that CB namaqua die soon after hatching, i told em to check out the pics on this thread but I was curious to know how old is your oldest captive...
when i had my cham outdoors i saw him waiting for gusts of wind to make his moves. he was perfectly still then only when the wind was blowing he moved very very quickly, then as the wind slowed down or stopped he stopped too. he did that on windy days when hunting or when he was feeling...
anyway, I don't like feeding live vertebrates to my animals. a few years ago I fed my red ear slider live fish, it was pretty gross watching the poor fish getting hunted and dismembered alive! since then no more live vertebrates for my reptiles! ;)
I'd agree with you if you saw it in the wild...
