I like to associate my handling of Helios with happy things. I.e. taking him out to bask, occasionally for hand feeding superworms, and showers. If you can sort of train a cham to associate the handling this way, it may be more receptive.
i would assume so, my lobsters climb up the side of the glass jar they're in even. i like to place them on the sides of the cage so you don't have to worry about whether they're climb up or not on their own.
you could use a piece of pliable plexiglass or fiberglass and sort of make a slope to one corner of enclosure, with that corner of the plastic piece cut off to allow drainage? just a thought, it's crossed my mind before:)
i read in another thread about a chameleon with black blotches, turned out to be necrosis from an infection. it's never too soon to contact your vet.
good luck, i hope things turn out well for you :o
they look different than most. sort of a granite color, and smaller "wings".
are you cup feeding, hand feeding or free range feeding in a screened cage?
I let Helios hunt them in his enclosure.
That would be a black and white tegu :p I have a friend who owns one! They aren't chams, but still very awesome creatures, especially when tamed.
Great looking store! Even breeding melleri? :D excellent
I'm misting about 3-4 times a day. I do need more humidity though. How well do cool air humidifiers work for chams? I've been looking at a few different solutions. Maybe adding some plexiglass to the enclosure...
