Oh and Carol you will be excited to hear that my guy is on his first outdoor adventure and he seems to love it! I bought him a hibiscus and umbrella and put them out on my porch (which is screened in) and have let him browse around for a bit now, and I think he really likes it!
Lol. I hate to interrupt this intriguing conversation, but Gensen what kind of plants are you using in your enclosures? and What size cages are you using? I've had my guy almost 2 months and hes getting close to 5 months, and I would like to get him some new stuff as he gets a bit older, and the...
Alright, makes sense. I will try it, he doesnt seem super interested in food all that much the past day or two, he may be full, I fed him quite a bit over the weekend. I am going to try and get some more feeders to spark his interest and change things up. Right now he is basking outside ^^
Does anyone have any experience with a chameleon just completely ignoring the cup for the first few days or so? I have been putting all of my 4 month old male's food in his cup for the past few days, and he hasn't touched it. I put the cup in a spot that he can almost undoubtedly see. Does it...
I recently purchased a male, and I think males are more often stone gray when they are younger, and develop their colors as they mature. Males are usually not that sort of pinkish color as stated above. Good luck on picking out your new addition! Chameleons are the best pet out there! =D
One thing that is not necessarily the problem, but could be changed to help would be replacing the repti-sun 10.0 with the 5.0. Almost everyone recommends the 5.0, i'm not 100% why because I myself just got my cham, but i noticed you have the 10.0 on the form you filled out above. Here's a...
It's certainly sad because I saw a similar situation in a store near me. In fact they had a juvenile veiled (maybe 3 months) with an almost full grown Chameleon in a small enclosure with a waterfall.:(
Since there are no stores that sell them in my area, I need some Dubia's to start the colony. Any information on how to house them and maintain them would be very much appreciated. As well as whether they can be gutloaded as easily as crickets can? And any other additional comments or advice...
He is 4 months, and I believe Screameleons fed him cricks and flies, but I am really not completely certain in that matter. Trying to sneak one in his mouth is not all that much of an option because he tends to snatch a cricket and leave it in his mouth for a min or so and then munch it up, and...
As temperatures drop in my state and everywhere, is it natural for Chameleons to be a bit less active as the ambient temp in my house varies a little bit. Here in Fl it doesnt seem worth it to invest in a heater or etc because it gets no lower than 65 in my house. He just seems a bit less...
I'm working to cup feed, any tips on helping to train him into cup feeding as he is still young. I've only had him for about a month. The worms seem to be pretty active, I would put them on vines and things to climb, but they seem to climb right off, and I also attempted to hand feed, and they...
