    New build (inspiration needed)

Thanks all! Some good links there! Meow kitty - i saw that guys post on your thread and was hoping he might stick his nose in and say where he got his inspiration! I might drop him a pm! Angrychair - cool, thanks mate. I'll make sure I use that sort of silicone when i build it then...

    New build (inspiration needed)

It's that time of year again when I start to think of the next project.. As it stands, I'm looking at building a double enclosure that will fit nicely into a room 8' wide (so each enclosure will be 4' wide). Here's a preliminary draft idea: The whole thing will stand 10' tall and fill...

    Male veiled chameleon hunger strike

Way too technical for me! I'd possibly start a new thread with that in the title and see if you get any posts that way! Has there been no change then? Still active/drinking just not eating? When was the last poo and shed?

    Adult Panther Chameleon Cage Schmatics

If weight is an issue, why don't you built in it 2 sections. So a top and a bottom that could than be joined together by a metal joining plate? Something like this: That would make it easy to move and reassemble. Would also be cool as you could take the top off and use it as a mini outside...

If he's moving around then I wouldn't worry. Try using a different feeder if you have the option? Something that flies will definitely get his interest! Keep us updated!

Good good! The right kit will make it considerably easier! Any other questions?

Has any one ever used live moss as a base/flooring for their cham cage?

Not really! I forage from the local woods behinds me which are pretty much untouched by anyone! So no real worry about chemicals/pesticides. Anything that's natural is natural and doesn't really concern me. I still clean my sticks with boiling water, but that's mainly for aesthetics to keep it...

Chop saw is essentially a mounted circular saw. Just means you can feed lengths into it and cut through very quickly! I mean to get myself a good table saw at some point for putting channels in wood!

Hopefully this isn't too late to help (skipped the earlier posts) Here is a build I made that has a step by step guide! :D https://www.chameleonforums.com/my-latest-build-progress-40191/ I was meant to make it into a pdf, but I just have never gotten round to it!

    Enclosure Building Questions.

As people have said the reason for it, i won't bother. I personally prefer one big door in my builds: https://www.chameleonforums.com/my-latest-build-progress-40191/ {private joke - sorry mate, still no picture of my gf in a bikini in it} It depends largely on the materials you use and how...

Has any one ever used live moss as a base/flooring for their cham cage?

Wish I'd got involved earlier!!! Well, where to begin! Literally! I must confess that i skimmed the other posts! I'm not feeling all that well at the moment! Anyway, here is a picture of one of my setups: There are guides floating around about my builds. This is my newest one...

    Oh Waldo....

Sounds like a sensible cham to me! Would you poop where you sleep? Nope, you'd get as far away as you could and do it there! :P

    What does my enclosure need?

To be honest it looks good! I'm not a fan of CFL bulbs so if it were me that would be gone to be replaced with a UV tube and a normal basking bulb but they can be made to work if they're set up correctly! See: http://www.uvguide.co.uk/ for great information about light bulbs! Other than that...

    Male veiled chameleon hunger strike

It took me a while to get a mist king mainly because im in the UK and the import tax was going to be extortionate! Something like another 40% on top of all other costs (including the bloody postage costs!)! Bloody UK postal system! Anyway, I got one from a Polish distributor and it was money...

I read your other post as well so i'll answer them both here! :D Firstly, he looks in 'pretty' good health. It's always hard to see from photos, but his spine looks good, no severely bend limbs and he looks alert in the photo (of him looking alert) so they're all good signs that he will be...

    Too big of a cage?

Cages can never be too big! :D I started my baby of in 24" x 24" x 48". In the wild they have a lot more space to roam around in!
