Butter, my veiled boy is now about 4 months old. The small crix seem so little for him, and he was eating like 15 a day......but the mediums look so big. He doesn't like to eat when anyone is nearby, so I rarely get to see him hunt and eat. He also gets a few wax wormies a week, and eats...
Whenever I'm looking for a table or something to put under a pet cage, I check out the thrift stores. Goodwill or Salvation Army stores have great deals on old tables that just need a good coat of paint or covering with contact paper...
You can usually find an end table or something for...
I am a clinical social worker. These days, I work in child protective services. I investigate child abuse and neglect, and work with families and children to hopefully reunify parents with their children, if we have had to remove children from the home.
I do too much paper work, too many...
Poor Butter, my 4 month old veiled hasn't been outside all week. Here in the high desert of Ca it's been in the 110's and too hot for him to go outside even with mistings. When it's in the 90's I put him out in his exploruim for a couple hours with mistings every 15 or 20 minutes.
"RID" ? That is for lice. I'm a social worker, and keep a can in the car for when I have to transport kids that are crawling with head lice, to treat the car seats and head rests in the car.
Either she has the wrong name of the product, or it's something I've never heard of....
NO !! you will need to move your chams and cages out and your buggies too. Contact an exterminator company to find out how long your critters need to be out of the house for. I have had birds all my life and they are very sensitive to sprays like that. I have had to take my bird out for days.
Too bad you lost one of the little guys. I have a feeling that in the wild, only a tiny percentage of the eggs ever hatch and even fewer of them live to become adults....guess that is why they lay so many eggs....
I love the picts. Keep them coming !
I pnly handle mine when I'm taking him out of his cage to his outside explorium for sunbathing time. He does the puff up and hiss, open mouth and threaten me routine, until I get him outside, then he just calms down a bit until he sees his outside digs. Then he tries to jump.
I'm hoping...
Yes. That is a long time. Imagine how you would be feeling if your mom and dad didn't feed you for a week.
I think the best thing that you can do at this point is ask if there is someone on this board who can take your chameleon from you, and give it a home with a grownup who understands...
I spray Butter's (a Veiled, about 4 months old) cage three times a day. I use a plastic sprayer bottle, with filtered water (our unfiltered tap water is very very hard).
I spray until the plants are very wet. I move away. I come back and do it again about 5 minutes to 10 minutes later. I...
I have one for Butter, and I put a hanging pathos in it. I put the plant in a cheap plastic pot, punched out three holes in the side for hooks and attached a soft rope type swag plant holder. I ran the "rope" (heavy soft cord) through the flap at the top, and hang the plant from a tree branch...
