Those are thermal burns. I can't get a link to give you more info atm, but they will more than likely scab and that burned area will fall off. It will look gross for a while, but will heal up. I suggest lifting the bulb up a little bit away from the screen. I use wood blocks for mine when they...
Thanks alot. That's exactly what I was looking for xanth and sandra :)
I doubt we'll be using any as feeders. I didn't know until this week that they like small enclosures. I caught a little praying mantis wild and kept it in a small terrarium thing I have that is probably 10x10in but no...

That being said, it could really be anything from that area (Nosy Faly / Ambanja / Ambato / etc) I think even Nosy Be WC show that disctinct facial stiping (still in the same area)
I'm going purely on a guess, but my guess is Ambanja because of his face. I've noticed Ambanja's have a lot more striping in their face and he has a very vibrant face.
Lol I just caught one and we are keeping it as well :-) I'm not sure how to tell sex. I looked under his tail and saw a bulge so I assumed male.
Where are you from? Mine was caught in central texas
