Justin is correct. A large hornworm is like 28 crickets.
How old is your chameleon? I would suggest about 8 crickets every 2 days if it's an adult. If still growing i'd do 7-10 every day.
1. There's no such thing as a pygmy veiled. He is a regular male veiled.
2. While he may drink out of the bowl that is a horrible thing and it is probably his last resort because he is dehydrated (looks like it as well)
3. What kind of enclosure is he in? He will need a well ventilated all...
I know this is a bit late and I hope you haven't done it yet, but WC hornworms are baddd. They eat tomato plants and it can make it dangerous to feed to a chameleon. Maybe you could feed them chow for a little while.
I'm an Ambanja fan :) Kent has some awesome Ambanja babies that should be getting sellable soon and they are definitely from some of the best bloodlines for Ambanjas out there. He has an awesome WC male crossed with a female from Brantley at FL Chams (the chameleon that made me love ambanjas)
Lucky bamboo is the small stuff you see in some stores and having a certain amount in an arangement is lucky (different meanings for each number) these are really called draceana (sp?). Real bamboo is the stuff you see that grows outside really well in large segments and is ok for chameleons...
Breeding is an expensive and risky endeavor. Not only does it take 9 months to a year to see any results, you have to keep the eggs in perfect conditions for that long.
Then when they hatch you have 20+ little babies that are going to eat 20+ pin heads a day.
I really think the only people...
PM me your prices and how many you have. They will need to be shipped to Texas. Seems like everyone is out at the moment :(
Looking for medium/large
Thanks,
Dustin
I remember when I was 6 (around 15 years ago :) ) my great grandparents lived on an ocean chanel and there were anoles allll over the place and my grandpa always told me they were chameleons. I think at one time we had about 6 of them in a cage and we fed them grass hoppers.
