Looks great! What are your thoughts on regulating humidity once the enclosure is complete with accessories? Are you going to use real plants? Also, where do you live? (I'm asking because climate can affect the enclosure's humidity)
A little off topic, but does freezing vegetables and fruit take out most nutrition? I make food for my baby and freeze it in ice cube trays and heat when necessary. This makes me worry. I've researched how and what to feed my baby and the freezing was recommended.
Burns probably means you had the basking light too close. That has nothing to do with a UVB coil bulb. They barely emit heat, let alone enough to burn a chameleon. Please don't give wrong information based on an experience you had when you don't even know the real reason of the burn. That's an...
Can anyone differentiate between husbandry for a panther and this type of chameleon? Basking/ambient temps, feeding schedule, enclosure dimensions, supplementation ... I want to do more research on this species. Also, any links would be fantastic if anyone has. PM me if you would like to talk as...
I am in the process of designing an enclosure myself. I know that air flow is a huge factor in the building process. I see you have some screen in the back. Do you have mesh on the ceiling as well? To me, it looks like cutting the front above the cabinets and below the first glass door, you...
Wow .. you aren't in a good mood today? You have to be more clear when you ask a question so people don't misunderstand you. Try to give as much information as you can. I honestly thought you meant when you carry him up the stairs ... sorry if I was wrong.
It's too bad .. those umbrella plants are gorgeous. I saw one at Lowes yesterday - it was HUGE ... I was actually considering buying it so I'm happy you just mentioned that link Donna ... phew!!!
That information on coil bulbs is incorrect. People prefer linear due to past issues but there is nothing wrong with coils. If there was, your chameleon would have issues with its eyes. I believe it was Reptisun that was an issue before - if you have Exo Terra, there is nothing wrong with using...
Very cute! Were the temps ok? I wanted to bring my girl out but I heard tomorrow is gonna be 17 so I'm thinking of trying tomorrow :)
I love the second pic - looking up at the sun :)

I don't see offering shredded apple with skin an issue. Don't use large chunks obviously. Just small thin peices. Should be fine :)
Read this. Although Reptisun is apparently a good product now, I still prefer Exoterra. Use what you feel comfortable with after you have done some research.

I have a flexarium (same thing, different producer) .. just have something at the bottom to catch water. Use live potted plants to assist with humidity and also use a shower curtain if the humidity is too low. I use a space heater if it's too cold (winter months) and a humidifier if I need more...
I use ExoTerra personally and other experienced cham owners use them as well - Reptisun is apparently a good one as well but I'm not ordering in the States when I get perfectly good ExoTerra ones locally.
