How far does the UVB 5.0 have to be from the basking spot? I have high perks, and low perks in my tank..
Can the UVB be too close?
What's a correct temperature radiant for a 3-4 month old panther?
Thanks :) - getting my guy next week!
Thanks...the chameleon won't be an adult...it's 3.5 months old - I was just wondering because I don't want to bother my parents to feed him! It's only 2 nights, So i'll make sure to feed the heck out of him before I go if anything :)
I'm getting a chameleon next week, and I always thought about something...
I'm going to have a MistKing set up, so hydration wouldn't be a problem.
What if I were to leave/go on vacation for a weekend?
Are chameleons(panther) okay to not eat for a day or two, even three? - or would I have...
Thanks Linda and Matt - I did a solid month of research and asked A LOT of questions before even beginning to start this...I love being ready and not having to worry when bringing something new home.
Appreciate the feedback!
Made sure of that! It is 6"+ inches away..My basement is humid to begin with (around 65-70+).
I will also be purchasing a MistKing soon just incase I go out for the day - don't want to worry about him when I'm gone!
Thanks :)
Here's the home of my first chameleon (Nosy Faly panther) in which I am getting next week!
He's going to be 3 months old, and I haven't finished decorating the cage just yet, but almost there!
Tell me what you think :)
I'm soon to be getting a panther, wondering a few things...
-Is it worth it to buy crickets in bulk for 1 panther?
-Who has cheap crickets in bulk?
Thanks :)
Are Panther chameleons active?
I'm comparing them to a bearded dragon (I own two)..My beardies usually just bask and sometimes run around for a few minutes during the day.
Do Panthers constantly explore, or are they more chilled?
I disagree, and many other owners will too!
I believe it is fine to leave a chameleon in a large enclosure from baby-adult.The main issue of having such a large enclosure for a small chameleon is the feeding - but if he is cup-fed there shouldn't be a problem.
I'm getting my first chameleon in...
So I bought a bunch of long bamboo looking sticks and a bunch of plastic plants to decorate my cage. I was wondering, what do I use to clean them before putting them inside my enclosure?
Thanks :)
