    Jackson and Veild?

Yes, is was spelled properly. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/spelt Just looks odd because, most people don't use the simple past tense or past participles often.

    Daily handlers?

I handle Link (the oldest an most famous chameleon) almost everyday. I'll open his cage hand feed him 3 to 5 adult Male Dubia Roaches, then he will climb onto my arm for a while. My Vieled doesn't like being handled at all (but loves being hand fed.

    Pro Exotics Burning

This story is so sad. One of the first snakes I bought was from him (back when he was based in Pittsburgh). I hope that Chad and all the employees are safe, and that they do rebuild. It will be a hard road ahead and will take years (even with insurance).

    water for MistKing

It really depends on the source of your tap water. I am lucky, the water we get is very clean (not alot of chlorine, fluoride and no salt or hard metals). If you live in a city with lots of junk in your water you my want to at least run your water thru a Brita Filter (or RO/DI filter).

    Ceramic Heat Bulbs

Now that winter is getting near I have decided to get Ceramic Heat Bulbs for my chameleon cages. The question I have is, what wattage would be appropriate? I haven't use them in a long time and can't remember the wattage/heat output.

50 ft Bio Vine for 30 Bucks!!

50 ft isn't as much as you would think lol, I use about 20 ft of vine per cage (plus the plants and branches). Bio Vine 50 ft coils come in 2 thicknesses, 0.5" (for around $50) and 0.25 (for around $35).

    Dart frogs are complicated!

The set-up can be a pain but once you have your setup together there isn't much you need to do to keep them happy. The hardest things to me is to remember to set-up my new fruit fly cultures every couple days watching for mold and Misting (which is easy if you have a Mist King or equivalent)...

    Sexing dubia

yes babies can be sexed from birth but you would need a good magnifying glass or really really good eyes. I also want to go thru my colony like that but it is going to take at least 16 hours to do what I want to do(I only have like 20000 at the moment). Then on top of those I have 10000 -...

    Waxy monkey tree frog?

$30 is about the going rate (at least at the shows here in PA), and yes keeping it alone is perfectly fine. The only big thing would be if you want to add another frog later you would have to find one in the same size range as the one you already have.

    turtles?

Agreed.... In addition it depends on how much space you have, my sister has 4 Sulcata. But their are alot of smaller Tortoises Russians are nice and there's always Box Turtles. If you have a nice fenced yard Sulcatas are awesome (24" to 36" as adults and you can get babies for $50). They live...

    help with info: Dubia

    A. they have very little odor. B. They can't climb smooth surfaces, don't jump, are relatively slow, and don't fly (males can hoover a bit with their wings but that is rare). There is a risk of any feeder escaping, but as long as you take all the proper precautions you should be fine. I...

    Sexing dubia

Its pretty easy, you just look under them at their butt. Females have a much larger last scale than the males. Also males grow wings (they don't fly just hoover) when they hit maturity, and females develop a very shiny exoskeleton with no wings when they hit maturity.

    New Amphibian

A pair would be fine in a 10, they need temps from 65 to 75. The tank would need to be set up with an aquifer and a dirt lvl. http://www.dendroboard.com/

    New Amphibian

Most frogs are very inactive during the day. Pacmans are great for beginners, I have heard that Waxys are as well but I have no experience with them. As for RETF they can be a bit tricky and get stressed very easily. If your willing to raise fruit flies D. Azureus (Blue abd Black Dart Frogs)...

    Lame Joke Contest~~ :)

My grand-father was the king of lame jokes, this was the last one he told me before he past away. "This blind woman walks into a Walmart with her seeing-eye dog. (Greeter) Hello mam is their anything I can help you with today? (Blind Woman) No, thank you. She proceeds inside a few...

    blatta lateralis

I use Lateralis as one of my feeders, they are very easy to deal with if you cup feed. I wouldn't recommend them if you don't cup feed.

    Mist King Experience

It took my chameleons about a month to get used to the Mist King. In the morning after the lights go on (30 minutes) my first misting cycle kicks in and all are sitting there waiting and drink right away. The cycle I have is, on for 2 minutes every 2.5 hours from 11:30 to 10:30 (my light...

    Is this ok to do?

As long as it isn't scented or coated in chemicals. I use paper on mine (have to replace it every once in a while).
