    shedding?

Well for the stubborn shed spots … rub a little (and I mean a little – you don’t need a lot) mineral oil on the skin with a Q-tip. It should help. I am not sure where in Canada to get the vit A gel caps and I’m not sure that’s the best idea either … maybe it is who knows. Regular hardware stores...

    Brev Tank

I think it looks good. The moss will be fine and brevs can handle sustained temps around 80F, this was mentioned in a Reptilia article and there has been times where my temps were around that for a couple weeks. Try and get a solid 10 degree drop at night (or a bit lower) if the temps get that...

Thanks ... but as Mr. Miyagi would say ... "Beginna luck". Hopefully I will continue to "wax on" though. -roo

    Pygmy Room ...

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. I work had it that’s for sure. Having “space” around all the racks and such helps me maintain everything properly and makes cleaning the room easier too. -roo

    Pygmy Room ...

Its probably for the best, these are very timid chameleons. When I get a male I will keep him in another enclosure. -roo

    Roach sighting ends roommateship

So does mine but I asked about my chams and cat and she said they are fine. I really went into detail about my setups but left the roach thing out ... thats just never good to mention. I think they have it in the lease just in case your pets actually do cause problems - that way they can toss...

    Strange thing happeneing to tail.....

Good luck with him. I would think about getting some climbing stuff on the right side of the cage to help keep him off the screen – from the pic it seems pretty barren on that side. He is probably putting a good amount of weight on his claws and is risking a fall and/or foot damage. -roo

    Veiled eye infection? DUW

I am not saying the low humidity/dry eye is the problem but it’s something you should work on. Humidity in the 20’isnt good at all so think about setting up an ultrasonic humidifier in the general area of the cage. I use the Holmes HM-485 humidifier (eBay) and still have it running after over 2...

    breeding?

Unless you’re some sort of chameleon mind reader then you don’t know that. Signs of stress can be subtle with no visual cues at all. As mentioned, given time, one of them (most likely the female) will end up getting sick. -roo

    Veiled eye infection? DUW

I don’t see anything in your routine that really jumps out at me except for the 0% humidity. Does it actually go down that far and for how long? How are you taking temp/humidity readings (what device). I don’t see any discharge or anything funky like that but keep in mind that just because...

    Cage Automation

Hmmm ... I think it MIGHT be easier to score the digital ones in Hong Kong, I looked around pretty hard on the net for something local. All the digital ones seemed like you needed to buy them in bulk and they looked like they are all made on in your region ... just couldnt find a site that let...

    Screen Hugger!

My head hurts and I cant find your thread at the moment. Post a link to it here. Skin blanching is a temporary reaction when a cham is too warm and really has nothing to do with shedding. Maybe, did you try a different bulb? -roo

    Green mesh cages

Be careful what you wish for. I went hog wild with a bunch of different species of leaf chameleons and quickly found out it was too much. I ended getting rid of a few species and havent regretted it one bit. I know have more time to focus on what I have now. -roo
