Some cham handling and feeding questions

Each Cham is different... Some Chams simply don't like interaction... Chameleons are by nature solitary animals... so each Cham is different, some do not mind being handled and even seem to "enjoy" it... others simply don't want to be bothered... and get "pissy".... When you get a Cham you have...

    Hungry Child

No 12 flightless flies are fine... In fact you can give the fruit flies on top of the regular feeding of Crickets.... As Carol mentioned before you can feed them fairly liberally until they hit around 5 months old and then you want to cut back in quantity but still feed daily ... then of...

    Update on the cham

Agreed! I agree, is the store credit able to be used for other items? Most likely... and if so I would get another Cham from a reputable breeder and then as Jaxy said use the credit for feeders or what ever else you may need..... it could save you more frustration later down the road...

    Substrate eating

Feeding? Yes, I beleive you are saying that you are getting rid of the subtrate right? That is a good thing! Best to leave the cage floor bare. This way there is nothing for them to eat down there and also no additional place for bacteria to grow... and it's easier to clean when left bare...

    i need help please

Research in advance and prepare $$$ wise.... I second most of what everyone else has already said. Cham's can be difficult to keep in the respect they require certain things... but if you do your research in advance on a place like this Forum instead of rely on mostly "Poor Petstore" advise and...

Dark Color? and set up check

Also just a suggestion... Another suggestion... I noticed that you have reptile carpet on the bottom of the enclosure... it's best to leave the bottom bare.... any type of subtrate, including reptile carpet can be breeding grounds for bacteria in my opinion. If you are going to keep it just be...
