You are so lucky! I have a highly agressive 5 month old male veiled. I can't imagine him EVER wanting to hang out with me! haha They are so much fun, though. Your little girl is aodrable!! So cool that she has her own uromastyx! My daughter wants a beardie.
I feel your pain. Literally. Mine gets so agressive and hateful even if I'm just trying to wipe out the bottom of his cage or fix his dowel rods. I don't even have to be even near him and he will hiss loudly and try to bite me. He's a mean little guy! He has bit me and I was surprised at how bad...
Oh no! How awful! I am glad he was found and has made it this far. Definitely keep us updated! I'm sorry I don't have any real advice...I just wanted to let you know that this forum is really a good place and the members here are understanding about accidents and eager to help. I hope things...
Oh no! Bless his sweet little heart..and yours too! I know you are feeling down right now, but you your friend was right, as least he died in loving arms. Without you, it likely would have been in a vet cage all alone. He left this world feeling loved. It is a wonderful thing you do. Every...

Aww! How sweet! I dream of my guy doing that one day...but he is a very pissy veiled, so I'm not holding my breath! I hope when I get my panther that he turns out that friendly!!
My chameleon hand feeds like a pro but absolutely HATES being held. He gets so worked up about it, so I don't even really try to handle him anymore. The most important thing is that your chameleon is happy and healthy. If he is happiest not being held, then leave him be. That's how I feel about...
Hello and welcome to the forums! I am glad that you rescued your little guy. Your cage looks nice. He has a ton of climbing room and places to hide and feel secure. Are you supplementing with calcium and multivitamins? If not, you will need to get some calcium without D3 and give it to him...
Another quick question. I don't have any sand laying around at the moment..so would it be okay for me to use organic potting soil? It doesn't have any fertilizer or anything in it.
Everything I know about taking care of my guy, I learned here. This has been the best place for information! I really don't think I would have felt secure enough in my knowledge of chameleon husbandry without this forum, and most likely would have never got a chameleon. When I decided it was...
Sorry folks...but I tried searching for the answer to my question and couldn't find it. What is the best way to keep superworms? What, if anything, do I feed them? I am only planning on giving him one a week, bc I really don't want him getting strung out on them and going on a food strike! Does...
Ok. I've never heard of them. Yeah...I would say if he came out of the box that way that it's nothing you are doing. I do hope that whatever it is that it gets better. I have heard great things about LLLReptile, so hopefully they will be able to help you.
I just cannot stop thinking about Ryan and his Mommy and family and loved ones. It just breaks my heart. Miracles happen and he has a lot of people praying for him and sending positive thoughts his way.
My first thought would be that it might be the light. I don't know about the powersun...but he needs a uvb light. A good kind is the Reptisun 5.0, and also a regular, probably 40 watt, light bulb for basking. Now that I am looking at the pics again...it appears that he came out of the box this...
