Don't be afraid to plant things that could outgrow your tank. You can either trim or replace. Overgrown pothos would be great security for your pygmies. Just keep it trimmed and in the back so you still get a clear look in the front half.
My cham has grown out of his first home. This is a glass aquarium bottom with the cage topper on the top half. The topper alone cost me $55.
I am willing to sell both (no stand) for 50. Local pickup in Philadelphia, PA only.
check the forums under misc. supplies for sale. Tyler Stewart from Blue Beast Reptiles (in Las Vegas) has some used cages for sale. You can even pick yours up and I am sure he can give you some advice for keeping up the humidity. He is great to deal with. This is honestly the best way for...
Who doesn't right? I have 2 dogs, 4 aquariums, Elvis (cham) and getting a pink by Xmas. Need to keep it under control. Though it seems to late for that.
Great job Nate. I would love to have one someday.
They are absolutely great to work with. I love my little guy, Elvis. He is from the Kely Akondro line which several people on this forum have some from the same father. Check it out by using the search engine and typing in Elvis.
My statement wasn't on why certain animals can live together. It was simply to illustrate the point that different species/subspecies can live together. In the case of chams, chams shouldn't live together (pygmies excluded) whether they are the same species or not.
I would like to feed my guy a little bit of everything.
Crix, dubias, silkworms, mealies, wax worms. I pretty much give him a combo every day. He definitely likes the worms much better but I limit him on those.
If anyone here ever has a surplus, I will buy some. Obviously, I would...
Could you just buy some and feed them as a staple? If I were breeding and keeping a colony, my fiance would freak out. If they are coming and being fed pretty quickly, I could hide them in the base of the stand.
I think your cham's is more noticeable but this exists on mine, as well.
I think it has to do with the male system in that area. No more comments as there are kids here.
Live feeders should never be shipped out past Tuesday unless they are overnight. The seller should have told you so.
The worst is ground shipping. Sometimes you get it in 2 days from across the country and others you receive in 7 normal business days which are a lot closer.
Congrats and you sure have a lucky cham. Some people wouldn't have removed it themself. Luckily, my guy passed his first plugs last week when going to the bathroom.
Of course it would be better but only if it is safe. I doubt it would be possible for the majority of cham owners, unfortunate but true.
Temp of water - I don't know where you live but outside temperature here on the East Coast of USA is anywhere from 55 degrees to 78 degrees. I haven't...
