Yay! good news! Thanks :-) I've just painted all my wood with a sponge brush to get in all the cracks and crevices (it's like drift wood). The surface isn't super slick at all, it actually makes my wood look better:D
I bought some expensive grapewood for my upgraded cage I'm working on and I'd like it to last as long as possible. Can I waterproof it somehow to where it would be safe for my little guy and make it last longer?
Here are a few tropical fish forums I found. We keep a reef tank but I don't know anything about breeding

What an awesome set up! As others have already voiced their concern for the waterfall, I understand because they are a breeding ground for bacteria. But if it's being filtered through the fish tank, it seem different than others I've seen, so it may be okay? I'm still not exactly sure how you...
okay so if I got a single 24 inch bulb to go in the fixture I have now, would I still need a grow light for my plants? I have one on there, but If I don't I can just get two arcadia bulbs to go on top of my cage....
Edit: Nevermind, I think that I have T8 fixtures and I only see T5...
would this be the light you are talking about? I have a 24inch fixture and I will be changing out my reptisun next month...

:eek:Woooahhh....that was disturbing!!! here is another video that this guy made... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3O0WASPy80
he had three veilds in the same cage! How would he even live through eating another one?? I mean, we worry about feeding them bugs that are too big so they won't...
my male panther will do that when I take him outside and put him in his tree! It seems really agressive for a little guy who moves so slow and is usually pretty chilled out Lol it's kinda funny to watch:p Not sure what they are looking for...I always thought it was maybe more moisture, but he...
I love my mistking! I've had it for over a year now with no leaks or problems at all (knock on wood! lol) I also got a rain attachment that sits on top of the cage to simulate rain and gets my cham to drink. I also use a dripper bottle with it
I have a mistking that goes off four times a day for 5 min. and I had trouble with my cage not drying in between mistings so I have a drainage, and it's easy to do! I got a plastic try made for the cham cage, they sell them on LLLreptile.com and they fit perfectly and catch the water underneath...
Mine does the same thing so I come home for lunch to feed him. I don't know if this is an option for you, but we get a lunch "hour" so it gives me time to feed him and myself! lol another option would be to set his lights so he wakes up earlier and try and feed him more in the morning instead of...
it took a few times for mine to like going outside, but I put him in a small tree in my backyard and it's like a chameleon jungle gym! lol just watch out for predatory birds...I caught a hawk scoping us out one day:eek:
