Ordering online will be more of a hassle than boiling, baking, peeling off the thin inner membrane, and grinding an eggshell into a fine power to get one teaspoon of calcium powder?
Also, I really don't think you will save much (if any) money in the long run, as you'll probably end...
I'm wondering what sort of adhesive would work to affix the top to the smooth, marble-like surface of the vanity? I would want it to sit flush, without space in between the two surfaces. Any really handy people who could chime in? :D
Okay thanks. So, the way my drainage is set up, I would like to keep the sink top as well. I wonder how I would secure the wood/Masonite panel to the sink top? Adhesive of some sort?
That's awesome - thanks. Question: it looks like the front is mounted flush with the vanity, so do you have the extra 5.75" all going towards the back?
I'm not sure why I didn't think of that, but that's definitely a possibility. I would just need to cut an opening in the center for drainage. I would like to find a fairly thin type of board for aesthetic reasons, but I'm sure it's doable. I'll look into that. Thanks!
I'm right with you on that one. After shooting so long without the opportunity for live view, I rarely remember I even have it! Thanks for the behind-the-scenes on the flash. I love the flexibility of today's modern flashes - it makes for some really creative shots. Keep up the good work!
Great! Just curious, are you bouncing an on-camera TTL flash, or using a softbox or something similar off-camera? Based on the catchlights in the eyes I want to say its a soft box slightly up and to the right but I can't tell for sure.
Thanks!
Sure. If you have any specific questions, feel free to post in the "Enclosures/Supplies" forums. Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to post photos of your setup in that same forum. People can provide tips on how to improve. Finally, if you fill out the sheet in the other link in my signature, and...
You're exactly right. The first exciting step is simply seeing them eat. Then when they do it from you're hand it's great. Now I just need to get him to take a few crickets or roaches from my hands!
I am currently working on putting together a blog post that pulls together a lot of historical weather averages for the native region of C. calyptratus.
Obviously not every single city in Yemen has historical weather data available. I was wondering if anyone on the forum would have thoughts...
You'll want to take a look at the Care Guide on this forum to get started. It has a lot of helpful information to get you off on the right foot. The link is in my signature below.
That's the way to do it. Do the research, and make sure the setup is all good to go BEFORE you bring him/her home. I'm glad you're going about it this way! Thanks for reading my little story :)
Thanks! Patience is the key. I know all I wanted was for him to do it (and some never do!), but you have to resist the urge to try too much. It can make them fear you. So as soon as you see a slight hint of him being "done" (walking away, puffing up, hissing, etc.), give up for that day and try...
