That's the one I was thinking about getting and you stole him! :p But Jigsaw and I are doing just fine and I sort of like the mystery of having no idea what he'll turn into.
I don't even think it's a good idea to take a baby outside at all unless he's in a cage. There are too many things that could hurt him and too many ways for him to get lost. I will probably take him out when he's bigger and brighter colors though.
They're various sizes, none any larger than what I've already seen him eat easily. They either seem to hang out on the bottom of the cage, on the sides, or well hidden. He's shown no interest in that so far, the free-rangers he ate yesterday were crawling on branches but that's hard to...
Well, today we had what could only be described as a bad day. I wanted to get some serious food in him since yesterday he only ate 4 crickets that I know of (2 handfed, 2 free range, possibly 1-2 more free range that I didn't see). Today I went and bought a fake plant with a lot of bendy...
They are, that's how bird toys work. You take some rope, tie it together to make an octopus-type thing, then tie wood scraps to it and suddenly you've made a $50 toy for $5 in materials. Go to petsmart and the EXACT SAME acrylic bowl will be like $4 in the dog section, $7 in the bird section. I...
So later on, I went back to check on him and had a hard time finding him since he wasn't in his favorite spot (a schleffera branch near the back of the cage under the basking light). After looking around for a while, I realized he was clowning around hanging from the ceiling and I whipped out...

Read this before you even think about breeding them. It's a lot of work and very expensive.
Ok, he got here about an hour and a half ago and looks very healthy! I put the deli cup on top of the pothos and opened it so he could crawl out. He took a short tumble getting out and landed hanging on a branch. I helped him up a bit and he crawled right onto my hand and did not want to get...
What kind of bendy vines do you recommend? Right now I have one of these:

and two of these...
Yup, he's an ambilobe! I'm getting him from Theresa at KaleidoscopeChameleons. She was very helpful and quick to respond to emails. I was also considering a slightly older one from Dez but the one I wanted ended up selling before I decided. Emailed about him last night, woke up today ready to...
I just got the zilla. Seems alright. Make sure you don't get the body wet, I've seen people complain about frying them. You can put it in a plastic bag then velcro it to the outside of the cage and run the probes in,
So I'm very psyched to have my first chameleon coming soon, a 3 month old baby panther boy. He's been a very long time coming. I'm 29 years old, just finished law school, and I had previously been into herps from age 10-14 or so, although my leopard gecko from that time lived into my 20's. Back...
I've got a little panther a bit over 3 months old coming soon, and I'd like to make sure I've got everything right. Thanks to Jannb who helped me out and provided me with all the info I needed.
-sticks were sanded a bit to get the debris off, scrubbed with dawn soap and water, then baked at...
Plenty of people have posted various plans and it shouldn't be too hard to design your own. The most common things I've seen are:
-aluminum screen so crix won't chew through it
-make sure to coat the wood with plenty of chameleon-safe waterproofing both before and after you assemble the...
I'm cleaning the branches I got for my new cham and one of them had a bit of lichen on it. Just a few small pieces of the frilly stuff here:

I pulled it off but I wanted to make sure the branch is safe. So far I've sanded them all a bit by...
Do you have any pics? I was trying to decide between Lobo and Lobo II...she seems to think I'll like Lobo II better but it's hard to see what Lobo's full body looks like from the pic they have.
I had a hard time finding pothos too. The ones at walmart were just tiny, and I got one at Lowe's for $10 that was a decent size but the vines are all short. Hopefully it grows fast. Walmart had a good sized schleffera for $10 that I'm pretty happy with though.
