I am so deeply sorry as my heart goes out to you and your family. 17yrs is a long time and it shows how well you cared for her. I know this time is hard and in time you will be able to look back at all the wonderful years you shared together.
Seems a little small .... but I would wait to see what members with more experience then I have to say. I have a male veiled and he weighed 79 grams at 5 months. I agree it would be nice if you could post a picture of her so members can see.
I actually handle my chams daily and they are fine with it. I have one that would hang out with me all day if I let him.
I also have a Chinese Water Dragon. He loves to be held and he goes to Petsmart with me when I pick up supplies.

Hi, do you know the breeder of your cham. Maybe they can tell you apx what size crickets they will be eating at the time. My 3 month Ablilobe and Sambava were easily eating 1/2 inch crickets when he arrived. If this is your only cham I would not order more then 500 crickets at a time. You...
What you are feeding your feeders ... you are feeding to you chams. Feed them veggies they get veggies. Feed them apples you feed apples. So IMO if you feed them a food that has mold on it... you are in turn feeding your cham mold. I personally would not do it.
That is really sad .... but what is even worse is once they sell him to someone that doesn't know any better, they will just restock with another Cham that will probably end up sick in their care. Do you have a local humane society that could go in to this store and take a look at him??
