I would shut down the basking light. Analog temp gauges estimate, nothing more. A digital gauge or IR temperature gun will be more accurate. I would also leave the cage door open, for a while, so that fresh cooler air can circulate. Providing you can supervise.
Many products have misleading...
That is a very nice cage, for a gecko. I can kinda see an analog temperature gauge in the background.. ZooMed? looks like its almost 80 degrees at the bottom of the cage... If so, that's no good my friend.
Hanging and closing of the eyes are not common in a healthy chameleon, but in the video he posted, I see gaping. Makes me think its a temp issue at the moment. Also, I see a water dish in the bottom and free roaming feeders, as well as substrate. #1 chameleons wont recognize water in a bowl as...
You're using a glass cage... They can over heat fast. what are the gradient temperatures, humidity? I'm sure the boobs at petsmart weren't providing proper care/husbandry. To get a sick animal and bad advice from a pet supply house is common.
Wrapping the supply line with a little electrical tape at the clamp point, will help hold the line. Mount a few clamps, turn the pump on and see whats still shaking. Add more clamps where needed. Top wedges also help, if clamping alone doesn't stop it. After 30 minutes of fine tuning my setup...
Nice video. pros/cons? Is there a height limit for mounting the pump? Anything you would do different? What does your chameleon think of it?

Posting multiple threads on the same topic isn't going to change what your chameleon eats. If you are not willing/able to supply a proper diet, maybe chameleons aren't the best fit for you. The search function of this site and google will prove to be invaluable, If you're committed to the health...
I seen a video of someone using a peristaltic pump on a timer, as a drip system. I tried to contact the person that uploaded the video, for more info, without success. Has anyone here used this kind of pump before?
I'm not saying all veiled's will eat fruit and vegetables, but they can be offered. I think carrots would be too hard to chew. strawberry, banana, lettuce, collard greens are more of what I had in mind. Many videos of this on youtube.
I love pizza! But if I only had pizza to eat every day, I would not be jumping out of my chair when someone offered me pizza. You should have a variety of feeders on hand. Crickets, Superworm, Cockroach, Locust are a few I have at the moment, with many more just a "click" away. Fruits and...
I purchased a mistking "Ultimate Misting System" 6 years ago. With exception to the timer (worked for 2 years) the system is still pumping as strong today as the day I first plugged it in. When/If it does stop working, it will be replaced with another mistking.
Baby veiled's will do best in a screened cage 16x16x30 (LDH) . Rubbermaid containers are no different than a glass aquariums and should be avoided. Any environment should be set up and fine tuned, before introducing the inhabitant.
Improper husbandry is the number 1 killer of chameleons.
What...
She might just be bored with the food you're offering. While you wait for someone that can be more helpful, I would advise you to read this. https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/caresheets/veiled/ Also answering these https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/how-to-ask-for-help.66/
Np, I did the same thing back when I first got my mistking. After you install everything, make sure to give all you hoses a good tug where they go into a fitting, to set them.
