Got my first chameleon today but he won't climb any of the branches

My baby cham did the same thing as yours when I first got him. He loved to climb on the sides and top. He loved to be upside down lol. Nowadays he only climbs on branches. Patience my friend. Patience.

    Shock from moving chameleons outside?

Hello, I am planning on moving my veiled chameleon enclosure to my back porch this summer and am wondering if the intense summer sun and outdoor temperature swings would cause too much stress for the cham. I have a screened in porch where I could safely keep the enclosure for the entire...

Good ideas for bottom of cage

Hello all. I have been using eco earth in my 18x18x36” enclosure for my 6 month old female veiled ever since I got her. Although it’s aesthetically pleasing and soaks up water, it is way too messy and unnecessary. I would like to put something on the bottom that is easy to clean and soaks up...

    Rearranged enclosure!

Added a nice 6 foot long vine to the top. Wrapped it around the existing vines. Happy with how it turned out. I’ll try to get a scheffelera in there to replace the pothos on the bottom

    Rearranged enclosure!

I appreciate your input. The lower half of the cage is dense with foliage but I agree that I need to add more to the top half. How will I go about adding a plant to the upper half though? I feel like it would be too heavy to hang from the top. I do have a pothos plant sitting on the bottom of...

    Live plants

Get a pothos plant if you can. They’re impossible to kill and grow like crazy. You can spread the vines from it around the enclosure too

    Rearranged enclosure!

After being very busy lately, I finally had the chance to rearrange my chams enclosure. It’s a 6 month old female veiled. She is doing well but has been eating much less lately. She ate like an absolute pig since I got her as a baby up until about a month ago. She grew a lot as well. I don’t...

Do chameleons eat less during the winter?

She would eat about 7 large crickets a day. At least that’s what I saw her eat. Occasionally I feed dubias and superworms as well.
