I never knew a female veiled could be so small :ROFLMAO:. Her head is barley very small so that's why I was wondering if she was still young. She has never showed receptive colors and she still eats about 5-6 insects a day. Should I remove her basking bulb now and replace it with a UVB bulb?
She does she'd once a month, her latest monthly shed has been at the 10th of this month. I don't think she passes 6-12 months since she's barley the size of my hand as seen on this photo:
Yes I think that her age is about 4 1/2 months, she hasn't shown any bright receptive colors, just black spots over her green body. But she has been really active in her cage today. She still eats a lot and hasn't slowed down.
I was observing scarlet for the past couple of minutes and she seems to be roaming around her cage more than she usually does, she went down to the bottom of her cage a few times also. I think she is too young to be laying eggs because I think that she is probably 4 1/2 months old? What are your...
UPDATE: Sorry for being gone for almost a month but last week on Sunday my first moth hatched, and today I have 6 moths and 2 that are almost ready to come out of thier pupae. I have been very successful in getting eggs from them, it really wasn't that hard work. I just put a small tomato plant...
So I have a 3 month old female veiled chameleon, and females are extra work since they lay eggs. So before she turns to the egg laying age, I want to know the basics of egg laying like:
What age does she lay her first batch?
How can I reduce the batch of eggs to about 15-20?
Can she be kept in...

Unfortunately there isn't a herp vet nearby in my area at San Diego nearby, the only one that I know of is in Penasquitos, I'll have to check with them. I'm also hoping that maybe it's just bruising from a accident that happened yesterday that involved his basking lamp exploding when he was nearby.
They look like thermal burns, I feel sorry :(. Right now I'm in the middle of upgrading his cage so in the meantime I put him in my other chameleons small cage. Any tips to make him heal? So far I see 2 large (one on his casque and on his left side) one on his eye, and one on his mouth tip.
It wasn't like this yesterday, I lowered the wattage to the basking bulb to 75 W, is it supposed to be like this? I mist him 3-4 times a day and I am trying to get him back into crickets.
I was looking at my male chameleons cage, and I saw this massive urate with this feces "stuck" to it. Does it look heathy? He has been eating and drinking and shows no signs of sickness.
This is Scarlet, my shy and odd chameleon! She's a very sweet girl who just became 3 months old yesterday. The first picture is from the second day I had her in April 12. The second photo was taken when she was asleep and she woke up :p. Finally, the last photo is of her today after her shedding...
