I just moved my 5 moth veiled from a 12x12x18 to a 18x18x36. He will eventually be in a 24x24x48 as soon as I get it built. Actually picked up a panther a couple weeks ago and he got the cage I had built for the veiled. Go as big as you can afford and have room for. Most use a 24x24x48 fr adult...

Might consider a drainage tray. find a plastic containerthat the cage will fit in and prop it up on some blocks so the water will drain out of the cage and the pan will catch it. Drill a hole on the side close to the bottom and either silicone a hose in or use a bulkhead and have it drain in a...
I would say the mister would be best for both getting humidity up and keeping the leaves and sticks and branches wet for him to drink. A dripper might raise the humidity a little and still provide him with water. The fogger will only raise the humidity and provide no water unless it is really...
Todd is great, he helped me with my lights and my plants and Cham are doing awesome. When I get my 4 foot double done ill be ordering another 12% and several 6500k's.
Vitamin powder 2 times a month
Calcium powder with D3 2 times a month
Calcium powder 4-5 times a week
No light at night
No heat at night unless temps fall below 60*
Just some info I have picked up on here
They are about half size crickets, if I had bigger crickets I would cut it in half. Forgot to mention I have only had him for 2 weeks and he didn't eat much the first week. My baby veiled eats about 15 1/4" crickets every other day.
Meal worms are not the best, Super worms would be better. Crickets are a good staple food. I throw in about 20 crickets every day for my 14 month panther and 4 dubia roaches. He always picks off the roaches first and when I get home from work there are usually only 4 or 5 crickets left.
I use a 6 bulb fixture with 1 12% arcadia and the rest 6500k. 1 6500k and the 12% come on at 7 am then the other 4 6500k come on at 10am. At 2 pm the 4 6500k turn off and at 7pm the other 6500k and uvb turn off. That gives me 4 hours of mid day sun thinking about wiring my light in sets of 2 so...
Do you have a uvb bulb? My veiled is still a baby, 4 months, and I keep his at 86*. If no uvb bulb you need to get one asap. Get a digital thermometer where you can put the end in his basking spot and get a reading. If one bulb will get mid 80's you are fine.
I use a 12% and have black screen on top of my enclosure. And mine seems to be doing fine with it. I catch him under the leaves of my plants sometimes. So, as long as he can get out of the light you will be fine.
As jannb said, no need for light or heat at night unless temps get below 60 degrees in your house. right now i'm using a compact florescent on my baby veiled and a 24" T5 on my 15 month old Ambilobe Panther. the compact bulb is a 10.0 reptisun and the other is a 12% uvb Arcadia from light your...
