The best tip I have to give is patience. Take your time and don't try to get in their face. Also be very slow in your movements, and don't come in from above them come in from below. Good Luck!
Hmm... Tough choice, well the noise doesn't matter seeing as they can't really hear much. The smell doesn't matter I don't think either. But when you first get him you don't want him some where where there is a lot of traffic because they will get stressed by that. I guess you could keep him in...
