Thanks guys for the feedback. My concern is I'm almost as excited to breed feeders as I am to raise a beautiful chameleon and I am interested in seeing how easy it would be to sell the excess here locally or possibly even get in to shipping.
Also I've researched that properly gut loaded...
Hey guys,
It's been a long while as I had a pretty horrible experience with a 4 month old Ambilobe passing away and have been trying to re group these past few years to have another go sometime soon (once my wife supports it....again).
My goal this time around is to take a good 6 to 7...
Yeah i contacted him and he said he will swap her out for a male but he firmly believes she is a he still and recommended that I hold out for a bit to see for sure. He's been great to work with so far so Im not too worried.
3rd times a charm right? If we can't get it with these photos I'm at a loss. Not seeing a bump after the vent. Do the female blue bars get greens in them like this?
Gonna be super bumbed if he really is a she...do they show bright colors if they're female? Sometime this guy has reds And greens coming through when he flares up. Ill try some more pics if I can catch it.
Here are some better pics of my guy. Male or female? My guess is male with the bulge and his colors coming in.
Also, to you pro's out there is this guy looking healthy? He's active and eats well! Don't see him drink a whole lot though....
Just curious.....
Where is the best place to buy pinhead to 1/8 inch sized crickets near Utah??? Been looking at all the local shops but NO ONE sells pinheads or anything between pinheads to small sized crickets locally. When i mention pinheads at the local shops everyone gives me an odd look becuase their...
Thanks kplatvoet and others,
This is super helpful. Ive found that every morning when he wakes up he is super dark in color... And then brightens up as the day goes on and as he warms up. Glad to hear that there are others who are dark that make it to adulthood just fine. Ill keep everyone...
Thanks guys, I've had him 2 weeks so I'm assuming he's just not at home yet.
And that could be the case coldbloodedAl, I have a 60w heat bulb and I'm so terrified of cooking the little guy that I keep it 5 in above the cage and then his basking vines are 4 in below the cage. I have a good...
Finally snapped some photos when I got home from work. You can see the change in his color variation in the photos and they were all taken within 5 minutes. Hope he's doin alright....
Ill send photos when i get home from work. The cage total is 4ft tall but i have it partitioned off so it is only about 1 ft 6in tall for the lil guy. I have a temp probe i think that i spent a pretty penny on. Not real sure how to use it though.... I just hold it under his basking spot and...

Eye problems for baby panther
Hey guys,
New day new problem. My little guy is eating and hydrating regularly but his right eye remained closed this evening. I have browsed this forum and found that eye problems are probably one of the more frequent things addressed here....
Is there a...
Hey guys,
So the ability to watch your cham away from home via your ipad, iphone or ipod touch is here with no need to spend money on a webcam or another camera because you can use your old apple products. I currently have my wifes old ipod touch hanging on my cage sending me either a live...
Here are some more pics of little Tobius. So I've made some progress and determined that the mist shower has helped whatever it is to move more inward towards his eyes and he seems less aggravated than before... But I do see a really tiny bump under one of his eye lids.
I purchased pure...
