Vinegar is great, a mild acid like lime juice is great too. If you guys get clogged hoses, hook them up to an air compressor and blow them out by alternating the flow. Not too much pressure though.
Aww shit I couldn't wait to show off my latest setups. I love cage decorating. 4 month old female Ambilobe will go here.
Probably going to add another small piece of that gnarly willow here, cage floor is raised for a 2.5 month male Ambilobe.
The ffiiiinale. A crappy pic of my male ambanjas...
Just recently cut this tree down out of the front yard, but it's still green on the inside. If you guys want to pay for shipping I will send you some branches. It reminds me of manzanita but much more flexible even after I baked it.
Is there a list of safe branches on the site somewhere? Could anyone reassure me that after washing and baking these branches I'm using will be ok? They are from a twisted willow, really gnarly should provide tons of pathways for my new babies coming in Tuesday. Also, are redbuds, regular...
So I had a few things delivered today, and had a day off that allowed me to complete my space for the juvie cages. Got my mistking hooked up, just as simply as possible, still need a couple fittings and more tubing to get it all dialed in perfectly. Lemme know what you guys think or if you want...
I would stay away from wood. Even sealing and pressure treated are porous and absorb water. I would find a fabrication shop make what you want and have it powder coated. It's lighter probably cheaper and last longer and easier to add to. More fung schway.
I use the wire shelving racks for my juvie cages. Fits the three cages in my closet perfectly , with a 48" fixture hanging above it and it drains into an under bed storage box.
It's high seventies and low 80s here today, as long as he has shade he is good. Thanks for the compliment, I think he has outstanding colors. I may bring the female out when I take him in.
Brought Dio the ambanja out for a sunnning day since the temps are nice. He didn't like the process but appears to enjoy the final results! Look at that gorgeous blue.
It may not surely kill the chameleon but it will certainly make his and your life harder. Cypress mulch doesn't occur naturally in their environment it's manmade. If you don't have impactation issues, you will have sanitation and health issues. There are much better ways to keep the humidity up...
Not all reptiles are the same. Yes some have similar care requirements, but chameleons are at the dramatic end of the spectrum of what they require to thrive in captivity. Some reptiles arent as sensitive to their environment as chameleons, this doesn't mean what's good for those species is...
Probably takes most of the dissolved large molecule solids, but you may have some stuff left over as it isn't as thorough as membrane or distillation. How can RO and distiller water be different? You've got water molecules and nothing else with both methods. If anything it's on extreme small amount.
Well water is chock full of dissolved minerals and would likely cause the same thing. A water softener can kinda help this. Or frequent cleanings with white vinegar.
