A senegal is a very picky eater from what i have found out. Mine will not eat a silk worm but loves crickets. If you can get him to eat from your hand, i have found that the exo terra grasshoppers are a favorite of mine. But all in all just try different feeders until you find one. i am...
I use Reptiglo 5.0 tubes and don't have any problem, reason 1 is only one place (50 miles away from me has them.) #2 is the reptisun is roughly $16 higher ( buy 2 reptiglos get one free lol)! The only problem i c is that i would go longer on the calcium with d3 dustings. i would recommend every...
I use a dripper however i don't mist my chams cage. i used to everyday but right now there is no need as the humidity in my cage is 50-60%.(It all depends on the type of chameleon). A good way to tell if they are drinking is his fecal matter which should be white with really light to no yellow...
I have a senegal (male) and these chameleons are called the black sheep of the family of wanting to be out! Mine has a great cage and if the door is open here he comes running. Of course he comes out sometimes to eat because if i have a dead cricket (not a hard dried one) he will eat right out...
The Dust you have that comes in a pink container sounds like Rep Cal Calcium with D3. You want to get some without d3 also for everyday dusting. just use the d3 twice a month. Then Rep Cal also makes Herpvite which should be used once a month. here is a link to some questions about dusting...
I am not talking about your "diving" Chameleons. I am talking bout panthers, veileds, senegals, jacksons, etc. MOST of the care is the same between them. end of that ;)
Sorry if i sound offensive. its just i am not wanting to talk about the species of chameleons. thats not what this thread is...
Well I go back fixing to mist my cham's cage and when i look around i don't see him. then i look in the water bowl and he is just sitting there looking out lol. It is not a deep bowl like 2" H or so. I use it for my dripper. So my question is has anyone ever saw a cham do this?
If your using repcal herpvite once a month then that is enough. It doesn't contain Vit A but it contains beta carotene which your cham will convert to vit a naturally so there is no risk of to much!!
Hey Guys,
I went ahead and broke down and got a reptibreeze by zoomed today:D. So far he seems to like it very well. I was wondering on how you guys do the draining on your cages? Pics or descriptions is fine. Thanks
Eric
Yes you can if that is all everyone that sells them has around like where i live. I use a reptiglo. Just make sure you change it at exactly six months as these don't last as long as a reptisun Here is a link on a forum about it.
