I have a senegal (male) and these chameleons are called the black sheep of the family of wanting to be out! Mine has a great cage and if the door is open here he comes running. Of course he comes out sometimes to eat because if i have a dead cricket (not a hard dried one) he will eat right out...

The Dust you have that comes in a pink container sounds like Rep Cal Calcium with D3. You want to get some without d3 also for everyday dusting. just use the d3 twice a month. Then Rep Cal also makes Herpvite which should be used once a month. here is a link to some questions about dusting...

I am not talking about your "diving" Chameleons. I am talking bout panthers, veileds, senegals, jacksons, etc. MOST of the care is the same between them. end of that ;) Sorry if i sound offensive. its just i am not wanting to talk about the species of chameleons. thats not what this thread is...

Well I go back fixing to mist my cham's cage and when i look around i don't see him. then i look in the water bowl and he is just sitting there looking out lol. It is not a deep bowl like 2" H or so. I use it for my dripper. So my question is has anyone ever saw a cham do this?

If your using repcal herpvite once a month then that is enough. It doesn't contain Vit A but it contains beta carotene which your cham will convert to vit a naturally so there is no risk of to much!!
