I tried doing a forum search on this but I'm on my crappy blackberry and it's glitching out when I try to search so I'm forced to post a new thread so sorry if this is something that comes up a lot!
I'm currently in the midst of researching and planning breeding on of my male panther chams...
Do ficus grow nice and tall? I literally know nothing about plants and I need something big and tall with lots of branches that will be the center piece of my free range, I have some ideas floating around my head. I'm always concerned about if the plants are toxic to the Cham! I have an umbrella...
No worries! Just a misunderstanding. It's actually the sides of an unpainted door that I trimmed off on a table saw at work, took the pieces home and they worked perfectly (not actually trim bit figured that would be easiest way to explain quick)
And about the size the non Custom think it's...
So I've had my 2 males for a month now and I think I've finally got everything I wanted for them (got around to buying a humidifier yesterday) and I wanted to post a picture of my set up to see what everyone thinks and if anyone one has any suggestions or ideas on how to improve!
I built the...
Thanks for the advice but my biggest issue is that the humidity never seems to get above 60 during the day ever even during misting, and at night it rarely gets above 60-65, I have a really dry room
Yeah I'm pretty sure it's just my room cuz it's in the basement and it's drier down here during the winter, but where I live in Canada it gets extremely hot and humid in the summer so I'm hoping the problem will go away but I need a solution for now and all other winters to come!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble keeping the humidity up during the day in one of my cham terrariums. What methods are there to raising humidity, other than misting/spraying, which I am doing 3 times a day. Over night the humidity raises to anywhere between 50-70 when the lights are off, but...
He looks perfectly normal to me, I have two male panthers, a year and a year and a half and they're not much bigger than him at all. Veilds are a larger species of chameleons. He might have some growing left in him but his size is fine!. If you wanna see a pic of either of mine to compare let me...
sounds good umbrella plants are good my one loves his
Also most chameleon owners don't use dirt or substrate of any kind as it's better to just have nothing, which chameleons prefer. I put old paper towels down to soak up moisture but you have to change them frequently. I'd recommend taking out...
Do you have a UVB light too? And for feeding, feed everyday and dust with calcium d3, and the multivitamins a handful of times a month, offer worms mostly as treats though some chams can get addicted to worms (like my panther), feed 5-10 crickets a day
He definitely doesn't look sick, or act sick at all, just the fussy eating, which is normal for young adult panthers. I just took a pic of him right now so everyone can take a look at him (he hates phones and cameras so always puffs up for pics)
Hey my cham seems to like resting his head on a bump on the branch, I've read that, that could be a sign of sickness but this is his basking spot so I'm wondering if he just does it for comfort or if it's a bad sign, nothing else about him indicates sickness he's a completely normal healthy...
