My new male Ambanja. 4 months old purchased from Chameleons Northwest. He had along trip from the Pacific Northwest to the Atlantic Southeast. He is healthy and outgoing.
I finally got off my rear and snapped some pictures of him.
Like Julirs said, light is not an issue. Hurricanes don't stay long enough in one area. After that, you can alway take your Cham outside for some natural UVB.
People with automated misters on the other hand will have to suffer through hand pumping, or get a 12 volt timer and a car battery...
LOL @ his name.....maybe if you carry a cross or have garlic on you, it would cut down on the biting.
Does he sleep upside down on his branch like a bat?
I've only had experience with Mist King (besided hand spraying with a pump sprayer). And I highly recommend them.....Marty (the owner), is a great guy to deal with and excellent with customer service.:)
If you are sure she is a lot skinnier and there is nothing in the laying bin, I would double check the plant pots. One of my females cover up her nest site so neatly, you would hardly know she already laid.
Only other explanation I can think of is that she was able to escape, lay eggs and get...
Woohoo....can't wait.
Wasabi is finally getting a boyfriend. She is slightly older (by 6 months).
Does that make her a Cougar instead of a Panther? :D:D
I hope he likes older ladies.
can panthers have from one mating?
Also for those of you that purchase gravid females, do you wait until an unfertile clutch before breeding with a known male? Or do you just breed and hope the following clutch looks like the baby Daddy?:D
52 days does seem like a long time, but as consolation, my other female laid eggs 5 weeks after copulation and then laid another batch of eggs 6 weeks after the first clutch. She was only mated the one time 11 weeks before here last clutch. So far both clutches are doing good and I have only 3...
I know you are young, so I am not sure if your teachers have covered economics with you yet. There is a thing called "Supply and Demand" which in a capitalist market, sets the value of a product.
Have you provided a laying bin?
One of my females just laid today(25 large eggs) and she was eating yesterday, so it caught me off guard when she was digging her hole when I went to feed her. I thought she would lay eggs next week.....luckily I decided to put a laying bin in yesterday.
