I've noticed my household bulb doesn't do much justice for my cham - making him look darker than he is!
The UVB light brings out more colours in him, but it's not strong enough!
What type of household bulb do you guys find brings out the most colour in your cham?
What time do his lights normally turn off?
Is there enough light inside the cage?
Post some pics of the cham and your set-up - and many forum readers will attempt to help you!
Here's a few shots of my Nosy Faly panther..He seems to show dark colours a lot of the time throughout the day.
Basking spot: 85-88 F
Amibent temps: 70F at bottom 75-88F at top
UVB: Reptisun 5.0
He is almost 4 months old, and just curious to see if he looks healthy and hopefully I'm...
Okay, so yes you can keep chameleons in the same room. Many forum members do it, but they make sure to NOT keep them together in the same enclosure. Also, if you are going to have chameleons in enclosures next to each other, make sure you put a piece of cardboard or whatever so that the...
Are you talking about a free-range habitat or are you going to put your chameleons in enclosures?
What kind of chameleons are you planning on keeping?
Chameleons shouldn't be housed together at all, unless they are babies. Although, some species of chameleons are perfectly fine housed...
Just letting you know - my panther took a week to actually eat!
Trust me, I was so worried too, so I know exactly how you feel...He just started to eat a couple days ago :)
He'll come around!
I tried, I can't get him to come near me without trying to bite me! I think I'm going to try wearing thick gloves so he knows not to bite the hand that feeds!
Very cute! - welcome to the forums..I've had my guy for a bit over a week and has yet to drink in front of me! If I go near him, he tries to bite my hand off!
Also, GREAT singing voice (saw some related videos). You should change the tags in your videos to increase the view count!
i know the reptisun is a bit small, but i have it positioned to hit him at all times! I'll try and add another low watt bulb to brighten it up, it's just the tree provides a lot of shade!
I tried to get him to bring him outside, but he hisses and tries to bite me! what could I do about that...

Trust me, my boy didn't eat a thing for 4-5 days - I was worried!
A healthy chameleon can live for a lot longer than you expect without food. Give him time, even a few more days and he will slowly start to eat! As long as he is hydrated - he will be fine!
I would try to take the crickets...
Overeating is just as dangerous as under-eating, so feed in moderation. If you think he is fat, you may want to cut back on the food intake, maybe feed him every other day or less food every day.
I'm no expert, so I can't really tell you if he's too fat or not, but another member of the...
