Aren't hornworms just the caterpillars of hawk-moths?? There are dozens of species of hawk-moth all over the US. I always found these on our tomato plants as a kid (my dad would give me a quarter for each one I found! :) )...
I've always loved Ambilobes because they are so diverse in the colors they show. Then again, I've never really understood why people like Nosy Be's because they are "just blue."

I remember reading somewhere that one of the main predators of Mojave Desert Tortoises is ravens... who'd have thunk corvids would learn how to eat turtles? smart birds...
