AWESOME videos. Hope no one minds me facebookin' this stuff so maybe...MAYBE...someone in my family understands that they are incredible creatures. Spouse has referred to watching ours is like watching paint dry. HA!

And now is the time to write up a very nice follow up, saying that you SAW the improvements, and hope that the information is distributed throughout the chain.
Happily, I've never seen chams in my local Petco/smart, but I take some pleasure in seeing with my own eyes that my Petsmart has a...

NEHerp is awesome! I got lured in by their vivaria, stayed for their chams, their to-die-for plants, and a sweet boxer named Ella. Give them a shot if you're looking for something special, or advice on making a good all around vivarium...
Alert the local vets too.
Maxttu, our hearts go out to you, and many many of us are thinking that it could have been any one of us who had this misfortune.
POST A PIC around your neighborhood.
Come back from your trip with good news.
? pinworms ?
Pins ar parasites that don't usually cause problems unless there is an overgrowth. They're the most common parasite (across all vertebrates!), and can be treated with fenbendazole. Take a stool sample to a vet for confirmation, but if the animal needs to be treated, it will...
I had a panic like that a few years back. I moved all cages to the very center of the house (don't mind the mess, the sloshed water, the seeds, feathers and leaves, just move them). If they're upstairs, move them downstairs, if there is a basement and you can manage, do that. If you can't...
I am resigned to buying 4 cups of Phoenix worms, stashing them in the basement for coolage. Spouse has utterly refused to allow for any more insects in the house after the Great Cricket Escape, and the equally devastating Dubia Run for the Roses.
I used the wonderful sponsor links above to...
I'm thinkin of you, bro. Good luck. Sometimes when we think we're doing the best, the worst strikes regardless. We're all hoping for the best.

Gee I wish it were as easy as 'do this and everything will be fine'.
Balancing a growing baby's calcium D3 A, light, heat, minerals, etc. turned out being a lot harder than I've imagined, starting with what appeared to be an oversupplementation of D leading to MBD. The key word here is...
ROFLMAO
on another note: when someone here says 'be nice' they don't mean you haven't been, just that niceness will always serve more than finger pointing, and it ALWAYS is better.
With that warning...like an above poster, there is a lot of less good info out there, and the info can...
How did this go? I'm thinking of the Miner-All too, but can't decide on the indoor or outdoor. What I've read seems not to take into consideration indoor UVB lighting. The last thing I need is to mess with her D.
Submitted for discussion,

I'm sorry for you Alex. It is the right decision all around, but so hard to make! They NEVER 'do experiments' on donated animals. Sometimes the best thing is just supportive care.
Sincerely,
