I thought the Mistking was more that $99, saw one for $190 and realized it's too much so I went with the Monsoon for $80 on amazon. So far I like it but the only problem with it is the crappy nasal. Read reviews and a lot of people had their crapped out within months, I'll just have to wait and see.
I tried searching and no results. I 'm trying to find information on the temperature for baby veiled chams. What's the correct temperature for them? And also the humidity? Please help.
What I meant was that, should I keep the soil/fertilizer that's in the potted plants that I recently bought and just add sphagnum moss on top of the soil or should I just change out all the soil and use organic soil instead. I'm asking because it smells like fertilizer/manure in my glass...
Question in title* It kind of smells in my exo terra 18x18x24, should I just change it out or it's ok for my cham, because I have moss covering it so he doesn't go in there.
I haven't bought the chameleon yet, but wanted to setup my enclosure first. I got the exo terra 18x18x24 with Umbrella plants, Bromeliad and Ferns in it and was wonder if these are ok for them? I researched and couldn't find a list of plants, if these are toxic for them.
I saw a thread where they had the same size terrarium like yours, 18x18x24 and he extended the top with a self/built screens on all 4 sides, making it 18x18x36 and up. If you know how to do it or have someone build it for you, you can save more money that way. I think I might do that as well.
HOLT CRAP, so many replies! I'm sorry for starting this thread, didn't realize how many people I would piss off. Yea, when I found this video, first thought that came to me is that the owner really didn't do their research before buying those chams. I'm glad I found this forum, lots of...
I'm not buying the canopy that uses uvb bulb and basking bulb in the same housing, it's this one
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016BOYZ4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
I'm going to use the basking bulb separately in a porcelain lamp.
Didn't know that cham can be fed with vegis and fruits, beside crickets and worms. Good to know, as for bulbs, I'm buying the compact florescent uvb bulbs, not the long/straight ones. The canopy i'm getting uses 2 compact florescent bulbs. Thanks for replying guys.
Ok, so no substrate. I'm planning on getting a Veiled Cham, found a breeder selling babies for $40, definitely getting a male. What about exo-terra's lighting? 5.0 uvb bulb will do and a regular 40w bulb for basking? And what's gutloading?(Feeding?)
(Flame suit on) I'm new with newbie questions. I got an exo-terra 18x18x24 glass case for my chameleon(haven't bought it yet) and was wondering what kind of substrate should I put in it? I know that screens are better but I got this as a gift. Wanted to do research before buying my first chameleon.
I'm new to this forum and researching on buying a chameleon. I stumbled upon this video of a male Veiled Chameleon eating a female. Didn't know that they can be cannibals.!!??
